    Great club
    May 18, 2015
I usually have a problem hitting a wood off the turf, but I am able to make good contact with this club. Long par 5's are more manageable.
    Pros:
Thin profile of club head makes set up easier.

    Best 3 Wood ever!
    May 12, 2015
After buying several Adams hybrids, I decided to replace my 3 Wood to complete my set. After some research I decided on the 14.5 degree Tight Lies club. This club is everything advertised and more. I'm getting another 10-15 yds and straighter ball flight. Some wrote that this club is difficult to hit in the rough, but I have had no trouble. I also want to give props to RockBottom Golf for a great price and quick and easy shipping. This was my second purchase and I see many more in my future.
    Pros:
More distance, easy to hit and straighter ball flight.
    Cons:
    None

    Holy Effing Ess...
    May 9, 2015
Just received my 14.5-degree and took it out to the range for the first time. Off of the tee it was about what you'd expect out of a 3-wood. I found because of the excellent launch and low CG of the club face I had to tee it up pretty low (nearly flush with the ground), but once I got that figured out all was well. Then I hit it off the ground and Oh Dear Sweet Jesus... I have NEVER had a 3-wood, or even a 5-wood, so smooth and forgiving off of the fairway. I know I was making some contact with the ground but I couldn't feel it at all and the ball launched flawlessly every time I made solid contact (I don't always make solid contact). Checking ball marks on the face, I was getting good flight out of swings that would have sent the ball slicing off into the trees with my other woods. I did find that the shaft had a little more whip than I'd expect from an R-flex, but my club speed usually stays under 85 so not a huge deal. If you swing any harder, I'd suggest looking at an S-flex instead. I can not wait to get this thing out on the course.
    Pros:
    Amazing off of the fairway!
    Cons:
Had to tee up very low due to lower CG; shaft a little whippy.

    Tight Lies 3 wood
    May 6, 2015
I'm a scratch golfer that wanted this club to be able to hit stinger like shots; either off the tee or running a long shot up to a green. The "Tour" model of this club advertised that it produces less spin and is lower launching than the original model. I find this to be true. It is a little tough to work the ball as it does produce low spin. But it's also pretty tough to keep it really low like I was wanting. I can tell you this though......this thing is LOOOOOOOOONG. The face is hot and the ball just seems to carry and carry.
    Pros:
-long -low spin -can hit it high if needed
    Cons:
-tough to hit it real low -can't work the ball much

    High hitting fairway wood
    May 6, 2015
I'm a scratch golfer but I've always struggled getting fairway woods off the ground. I still carry a 3 iron and haven't figured out those hybrids yet so I was looking for a 5 wood that I would hit shots from 220-240 and get over trees if needed. This club definitely gets the ball off the ground. Wow I can hit this thing high; especially if you tee it up. Club feels great to me as you can really feel the weight at the head; which is a big reason it goes so high. I don't think I will tee off with this club very often but I will keep it in the bag for the shots I have to hit high or if wind is at my back.
    Pros:
    -high launching shots
    Cons:
-high launching shots; really tough to keep it down

    So far, so good.
    May 1, 2015
I like this club, although I've only played one round with it so far. The weight feels like it's all in the head, which makes for an easy swing. Straight flight, more distance than with the 3 wood it's sort of replacing. Much easier to hit from rough than my old 3.

I have always been inconsistent with my fairway wood. I have been searching for the right club for a few years now. I found what I was looking for with this club. Consistency is there and distance hasn't suffered. Good club overall.
    Pros:
Great profile Fun to hit Forgiving face
    Cons:
    Not suited for faster swings

    Perfect fairway wood
    April 25, 2015
This is exactly what I was looking for in a fairway wood. Something a little longer than my 2 iron but something I was able to hit outta light rough and from the fairway. Great looking club that gives you confidence at address.
    Pros:
    Looks, feel, low profile design
    Cons:
    None

    great out of the rough
    April 24, 2015
since Im a 19 handicapper, I spend quite awhile every round on the fringes of the fairway :-) and in the thick stuff, while I've never had a problem with distance, I can rope it about 310 with my driver; I do struggle with accuracy. This club is an excellent club when it comes to hitting a second long shot out of the thick stuff and the long grass and the hardpan etc etc...in fact this club gives you excellent carry about 250 yards from the thick grass and has a soft landing in the vicinity of the green, I would recommend this club for all mid to high handicappers.
    Pros:
great distance; can hit it off any surface; soft landing
    Cons:
    boring to look at

A keeper from the first time I hit it
    April 17, 2015
I immediately took this club to the range and was astounded on how quickly I began to hit the ball with considerable distance. When I played my first round of golf with the new Adams tight lies fairway wood, it seemed like I have been hitting this club during my entire golfing experience. The distance and ease of making contact make this club a valuable edition to my bag.
    Pros:
Easy to hit and get the ball up.
    Cons:
    none
