A thousand years ago, when soft spike were introduced, I vowed never to adopt them. Time passed, soft spikes became not-so-soft and I switched. Now, at the dawn of a new era, I decided to see for myself before making any rash judgements...and I'm pleased. When I hated the idea of soft spikes, it was because my balance was so poor that the tenacious grip offered by my metal spikes was all that kept me standing. But now, I'm a seasoned golfer...still a duffer, but a seasoned one with much better balance. These comfortable kicks are all I need to get it done now. And they offer enough flexability for me to wear them on short errands. So when honey-do's venture near a golf course, I'm already properly equipped.
The only drawback is that there's very little stability on hard surfaces. So, if you play a lot of desert golf, like I do, it's even more important to keep it on the short grass.
It's time to changes shoes again, gentlemen!
Pros:All day comfort
Drive, play and relax without needing to change shoes
Cons:Zero stability on hard surfaces (the nubs flex a lot on desert hard pan)
