Compatibility:
The Bushnell XG is ready to use out of the box without the requirement of any additional software or hardware if you want to map your own golf course. However, a computer and internet access are required if you would like to download pre-mapped golf courses from iGolf.com. In order to download pre-mapped golf courses you will need a PC (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 98 compatible) or Mac (OS X, version 10.4.x or later). You will also need to purchase a subscription to iGolf.com.

It does the job very well

I got the new "toy" one week ago. I have used it on all three 18-holes courses we have at Oijared GK, Floda, Sweden. It's a very good equipment for the discount price of 80 USD.
Pros:
It does not mix the three courses even though thei start from the same spot. The accuracy is very good, much better than my golf shots (hcp 7) .
The black and white screen is OK. Charcing the batteries and loading the courses is quite simple.
Cons:
Scolling between the courses it too slow. I have selected wrong course several times doe to the delay in the scoll system.
You cannot go backwards to an earlier hole if you have pushed the next-buttom too many times.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

This device does exactly what I required. I would say accurate to approximate 2 yards. I can take 20 seconds to stablise on a distance, however that is not an issue if you consider trying to work out the yardage without the gps. I like the manual mapping for those course not listed. I also like it that you are not required to purchase continuous igolf membership. If you play less than 100 course one subscription will be sufficient. One issue on international shipping, a little more information could be provide especially concerned with possible import taxes or even have a pre payment option. However still cheaper to pay import tax and ship than to purchase in UK.
Pros:
Low cost. Clear yardage displayed. Reasonably accurate. Shot distance function a bonus. Realy helps with consistency in club selection.
Cons:
Could have been fully weather proof. Waterproof mobile phone bag takes care of that.
