Compatibility:
The Bushnell XGC is ready to use out of the box without the requirement of any additional software or hardware if you want to map your own golf course. However, a computer and internet access are required if you would like to download pre-mapped golf courses from iGolf.com. In order to download pre-mapped golf courses you will need a PC (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 98 compatible) or Mac (OS X, version 10.4.x or later). You will also need to purchase a subscription to iGolf.com.

This worked surprisingly well, without having to resort to the users manual. The features it offers are easily worth its price. The screen size is adequate for the majority of use, although it's a touch small for whole-hole views. Visibility is good, with the exception of direct full sun, but then again, I haven't found any full colour screens that have high visibility in that situation. Power usage has been excellent, with a decently quick recharge time.
Pros:
Easy to use, accurate, has the features I was looking for, quick satelite acquisition, mostly intuitive menu layout
Cons:
Owners manual isn't very extensive. Software from the disk wouldn't load properly (but was ok from the website). Users need some tech abilities to initiate and download to the unit. - The belt clip is only adequate and I can't find a proper walking cart mount.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

I have cut at lease 5 strokes off my score.
Pros:
The battery does last about 16 hours
The mapping of the holes are right on
The price

still cannot download my scores

I used it for the 1st time and was really impressed. My buddy had a laser pin seeker and my distances wreathe same as his. Also ability to view entire hole, especially on new courses was a plus. Easy to use. Distances to any place on the hole so you can see how far bunkers, creeks, hazards are to the exact distance. Like having a caddy without the cost!
I would recommend this item to a friend.
