Great irons but not that forgiving
September 5, 2014
Rock Bottom had a reduculously low price on a set of amp cell graphite shafted irons so I jumped at the opportunity. Don't get me wrong they are great, a fairly thin top line, moderate offset, and a sweet feel to them. When you flush a shot the results are a thing to behold.
BUT, they are not a very forgiving iron to be classified as "game improvement". I think that at a maximum low double digit handicappers will appreciate the clubs and help them play better. If you are a 90+ player, these irons may hurt your scoring. Sure they have a cavity, that E9 face, the polymer badge, but you are definitely penalized for poor strikes.
If you like Cobra higher handicappers would be better off gaming the baffler XL's. That is a much more forgiving iron.
Ifyou can COSISTENTLY put a good swing on the ball consider the Amp Cells, they are as good as any top of the line cavity backs that are hot. If not look elsewhere !!!!
