Getting started with the Putting Scope is easy:
Set the Scope on your target line. Set the ball beneath the rod, and align your eyes over the Rod. Use the Rod to help align your feet and shoulders. Set the putter face square to the rod and target line. Roll the ball through the Scope legs
The Putting Scope will help you with:
Alignment - Align yourself on the proper starting line for your putt.
Speed Control - Set the Putting Scope up as a line and learn to roll the ball exactly to that line.
Stroke Length - Mark the Rod with a marker to check stroke length back and through.
Entry Points of Putts - Use a Scope leg on the high point of a putt and learn to roll the putt at the correct speed.

Easy to setup

I have only used the putting scope trying to put from 3 ft. behind and through both arches for a total distance of 12 ft... I hit 10 puts, making 5 and hitting the cup on all 10 puts. So, the scope will definitely get your puts on line. Now I need to see how to use the scope to work on speed control. Day 2: One of the instructors was watching me use the scope and said my stroke and tempo looked much better. I still need to improve speed control. It was very windy today, gusting 35 mph and while I was using the scope, the wind didn't distract. When I tried without the scope the wind really affected my focus.
Pros:
It really helps to focus your line if you aim through the 2 arches instead of trying to line up your put directly at the cup.
Cons:
There's nothing to dislike about the scope.

Nice teaching aid

Got this and modified it slightly to be able to put 2 allignment sticks through it to help promote a more pendulum stroke for beginners. Works great and solid construction.
