The Shotmaker is the first USGA and R&A rules conforming accuracy boosting golf shaft insert of its kind. It is a removable insert that is made with Ultra-Thin-Ply Graphite (UTP). The most vulnerable section of a golf shaft is its tip section. Upon impacting golf ball, the shaft and particularly the tip section vibrates violently. Golf shafts will bend into a S shape around the kick point. The Shotmaker insert significantly stabilizes the tip section of the golf shaft as to improve its accuracy. The insert dampens impact vibration, reduce or eliminates shaft deformation as to improve accuracy up to 40%. The Shotmaker is 12" long and weighs only 4 grams.

    feel or accuracy?
    October 28, 2013
i played two rounds with it and took it out. it did help a bit for accuracy, but lost feeling completely. I tried it with my project x 6.0. It made very tip stiff.
    low trajectory with less spin
    no feel at all.

    P 17F Good so far
    February 5, 2013
I have only played one round and hit a couple of times on the range with the insert in. It does seem to contribute to a straighter ball flight. I put it in a Diablo Octane Tour with a the OEM project x 6.0 shaft. It gave the shaft the stiffer feel I was after but added a little weight. I swing too hard occasionally so I don't mind the weight. I haven't played much this winter. I may like it more after I play a few rounds and my swing gets consistent.
A Hook may become a Draw. A Slice may become a Fade. It did not seem to reduce distance. It's cheaper than a good aftermarket shaft. Easy to install.
Adds a little weight. It is not a cure for a bad swing/push/block/poor aim/ alignment It is an expensive experiment but so far so good.

    Check your shaft tip diameter
    April 22, 2012
This will only fit shafts with the smaller .335 tip diameter not a .350
    Good idea
Doesn't fit all shafts and the larger size is not available at Rockbottom
