You've tried other distance measurement tools before, or you've seen someone else using them. GPS can't give you the distance to the flagstick, only to the middle of the green. this is my first laser after several gps units. it is easy to use and accurate, i can get a reading on a flag out to about 240 yards. it can fit in my pantspocket pretty well without interfering with my swing. very happy with it and a great price from rockbottom also.

Red Hot Rangefinder is handy, easy to use and very fast. Push button once to turn it on, center the red dot in the black circle and place dot on target. Instant distance. Much faster than Bushnell lazer rangefinders, more accurate than Skycaddie. I would have rated five star except I should have ordered the model that reads only pin prism as this top of the line model will sometimes miss the pin and read an item such as a tree or hillside behind the pin. Save a little money and buy the model that does not read objects other than the pin prisms.

I am not ready to review the items as I have only had it for a short period of time. Though, I had been watching and reading about it for some time. Delay being, I have not as yet played on a course with prisims on the flag sticks and it is much to easy to pick up readings from large unintended objects....like trees.
Understand that completing this form I was "required" to fill in all fields though I am not ready to pass final judgement as yet. So, after I have really had an opportunity to use the item I'll be able to adjust my rating.

This is my seconf range finder made by Laser Link,the first one was great and is still working after seven years,but I wanted to upgrade to a rangefinder that would tell how far to objects,as well as the distance to the pin,this rangefinder works good,but the red dot that you put inside the circle to measure distance seems out of line,if I put the circle over my target, its then necessary to adjust quite a bit to get the red dot inside of the circle,almost a sif the beam is coming out at an angle instead of straight,my first range finder did not exhibit this tendency
