I hit a 198 yard 5 iron

The distance of this club is crazy long. Easy a club and a half longer than any I ever hit. I;m a 8 HC and played blades most my life. I feel like I'm cheating, hitting 9 iron 150 yards. I think when I get use to it, it will be a great help.

Purchased these clubs from Scratch and couldn't be happier. I was deciding between these and the Callaway Razr X HL. I'm glad I chose the Nike VR-S irons. Being a high handi-capper, these clubs give you excellent forgiveness on mis-hits, and when you pure it, the ball flys off the club head. The first time out with these, I knocked 12 strokes off my score, with more fairways hit plus adding more distance. The way the club is designed with the "Power Bow" technology, it really is tough to hit a poor shot. The irons have a nice sound as others have mentioned when hitting the ball. If you are on the fence like I was, hopefully this review helps and you decide to choose the VR-S. I personally do not like Nike products or purchase anything Nike, however, these irons may change the way I look at Nike and their products.

Nice finish on club heads.
Nice distance on solid hits.
Cons:
Not sure if I like the feel of the grips. Not as tacky as I would like, however, it gets the job done and they work.

Difference with 2011 Nike SQ Machspeeds?

I cant see any difference other than cosmetic with the SQ Machspeeds from last year that are much cheaper but not "VR". I switched last year to the SQ MachSpeed's Steel Stiff 4-AW, SW and SQ MSpd 234&5 Hybrids, Square Driver and 3,4,5FW's and absolutely love them. Very easy to hit due to the weight flange/powerbow on the back of the club, straighter and seem to invoke more spin than my old Tommy Armour 845s Titaniums too. Did I say I love them?
Pros:
Easy to swing, even for a duffer

Good Spin on wedges for Game Improvement Irons
Improved game at least 5 strokes, from low 90's to mid to high 80's
Cons:
Wish they would clean themselves?
Grips could be better than the stock Nike grips

Long with a draw

I replaced my 12 year old Titlist irons with these based upon a review from a magazine. They were supposed to help the high handicapper, me, get the ball in the air and go further. They do this very well and with a brand new draw to boot! I am having a little trouble now figuring out which club to use because everything is one or more less than before. If you don't have a gap wedge you will find that the one included is a must have club now. Accuracy is good if you allow for the draw. The clubs were delivered on the third day after ordering. This is a great deal.
Pros:
Long and easy draw. Look very nice in the bag.
Cons:
No head covers.

Strong, upright, pretty, and sounds great.

The lofts are strong by a number compared to old Pings. You'll need a few more wedges after the AW but everyone has those favorites.They are quite upright so I grip them with the Nike logo past my thumb pad which makes the regular flex stiffer and that works well for me. The sound is a nice click as the ball gets off the face and stays airborne for seemingly longer. I was able to work the ball from the sweet spot though off-center hits are straight but shorter. You are able to see the "power-bow" from the 6-iron lower but it's a dark profile and not distracting. They are shiny and pretty compared to my old Pings and make me feel like I'm not out-teched in my foursome anymore. Nice price for such clubs. I'm happy with them.

Cons:
They're trying to flatter you with distance and the corresponding number iron with stronger lofts.
