Re-Think your Spending
By Leo from West Chester,Pa on January 31, 2013

I am a low handicaper (5) and have been playing for over 40 years and have played every brand. I purchased these CP irons and have played with them thre times and all I can say is WOW!!! A extremely well balanced and soft hitting set of sticks. Honestly these ought to be going for hundreds more, The ball flies true and they are workable which is rare for a heel toe balanced iron.
Pros:
Profile is nice and thin
Shaft is light and responsive
Cons:
You will need to replace grips with a upgraded one.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Powerbilt - Citation CP Irons Steel
By Alan from Brisbane, Australia on January 1, 2013

I have been using Powerbilt wedges for some time now with good results and saw these on Rockbottom and read the reviews and decided to give them a go. If they are half as good as the wedge set I will be happy. My first hit out with them was rather forgettable but the second round was much improved. I'm looking forward to my next game anticipating further improvement. I noticed that previous buyers/reviewers got the option of 3-PW,AW and my option was 4-PW. Goes to show the early bird gets more irons. My old arthritic hands would have liked thicker grips but thats another story.

Powerbilt CP irons
By Roger from Lawrenceville,Va on December 29, 2012

This is the iron I've been looking for. This is the first iron I've seen in years with a thin top line that is workable and forgiving. I bough these irons as a cheap spare / travel set. Turns out that the Mizunos and the Adams went to the closet and these are my go to clubs. These are well made good looking clubs.
Pros:
Nice set up
Thin top line
Good yardage gaps
Well madeI would recommend this item to a friend.

Recommend for 1st set of Irons
By Jake from Aveley, Western Australia on November 20, 2012

I purchased these as my first set of clubs. My decision was made easier by the previous reviews on this item & how right were they. The feel is fantastic & could not be happier.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great clubs!
By Rich from Virginia on November 6, 2012

I had been playing a 30-year-old set of Wilson Staff Tour Blade irons. I hit them straight but they never felt good (like I was hitting a brick wall). These irons feel great....nice sweet spot. I'm also hitting much farther with these, and pretty accurately also. The price point on these is incredible too!
Pros:
- Price
- Quality
- Feel
- DistanceCons:
NothingI would recommend this item to a friend.
Great Value
By TN from Parsippany, NJ on October 5, 2012

Was not a huge fan of my 4 & 5 hybrids so I decided to get irons instead. After doing some research I settled on these. For $100 I got 9 irons (3-9, PW, AW). Great steal!

Great playing (and feeling) Irons for the price
By Howard from NW Indiana on September 9, 2012

Bought these for my 26 year old son. He was a really good baseball player during his school years. (Went to Butler U.) He is seriously trying to put that athletic ability into golf. He needed a new set of irons and the stiff flex. (very long hitter with a lot of club head speed). It was love at first hit for him. He says the forged inserts give them great feel and he is hitting them long and straight. His old irons were regular flex and had too much flex for his swing speed.
Great bargain for the price (or twice the price). My wife and I have played Powerbilt clubs for years and have been very happy with them. In fact, I had a set of Powerbilt irons when I played HS golf in the early 60's. I still have those old irons and play them from time to time.
Powerbilt makes great clubs, just don't pay the big bucks for endorsements, etc. The do also make Louisville Slugger baseball bats, etc.
Nice irons, great price!
Pros:
Feel is great with the forged inserts, control is great for him. Quality feel.Cons:
No cons at all. I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great set of irons for the $
By Adam from Dallas, TX on August 22, 2012

I can't believe that there are only two or three reviews on these irons. I guess people fear what they don't know and can't believe that a $100 set of irons could do anything for game improvement. If you are looking for an upgrade or just getting started and are looking to buy a complete bag of clubs at some sporting goods store than these clubs are for you. You can piece together a much better and not to mention cheaper set of clubs by starting off with a set of these irons and adding a Powerbilt driver, 3 wood, Ray Cook putter, and a stand bag.
These clubs feel great at contact and are forgiving when a ball is struck with less than perfect contact. I found that started to quickly developed confidence if i did not over swing and allowed the weight of the club to do most of the work and after a couple of round my swing speed continues to increase along with my confidence in the irons. The stiff shafts feel great and you would not believe the reaction people have after they get done complemening your clubs and then you tell them what they cost.

Just OK.
By Smooth 'n Easy from Inland Empire on August 3, 2012

Was looking for all iron set and came across this at Rockbottom. My first set back in the '80s was a PowerBilt Citation blade, and this brought back some nostalgia. I wasn't aware that PowerBilt was still selling clubs.
Anyway, the clubs perform OK, but I wasn't able to feel or notice anything special from the bullet points in the description section, such as thin face and all. Shots go nice and straight for the most part, but the 3 and 4 irons are somewhat difficult to hit high with only moderate swing speed.
It's not the best feeling club out there, but for the price, I recommend it.
Pros:
-Cheap price.
-9-club all iron set make-up. Hard to find non hybrid-mixed 3-pw set these days.
-Soft feel of grips.Cons:
-Not smaller heads as described.
-Chunky looking face, especially the wedges towards the heel area.
-3 iron has extra fat sole, somewhat like the Big Bertha i-brid 3 iron from few years back (not as severe, though)
-Dull feel.
-Somewhat heavy.
-Ribbed grips are installed crooked.I would recommend this item to a friend.
