You get mostly good balls with a few that are damaged.

Great practice balls

These are great for practice and cheap enough to lose.

Ditto
By Adrian from San Jose, CA on November 9, 2010

Most were INTECH and maybe 5 -10 were popular brands. The balls were definitely polished as best as they could be.
I'm a poor player, however there was a perceived difference in ball performance between the non-brands vs. popular in my opinion.
Pros:
Hey when you hit in the 90's-100's you're not gonna care as much right?Cons:
Wish for more quality over quantity.I would recommend this item to a friend.
2nd review of the Bag O' Rocks
By AB from Maryland on September 13, 2010

I originally wrote a review in 2008 about this purchase. I have since bought this again and I was surprised at the quality of ball this time around. The first time around, I had gotten all but 2 Titlest golf balls. This time around it was all dunlops and intech's and about half the bag literally played like a rock. I guess the days of getting good name rocks in the bag are long gone. I will not be purchasing this again.
Pros:
I liked the original bag I got in 2008Cons:
Half the bag was simply unplayable with balls a beginner wouldn't use.It is what it is....
By Philip from Cocoa, FL on May 5, 2010

After reading some reviews of what some people have gotten from this bag o' rocks I decided to give it a try. I pretty much got 48 shag balls of 98% el cheapo balls where on some you can't even read the brand name and the rest were really cheap brands. I think I'll stick to buying regular balls from here on out.
Pros:
Not too many, but you get what you pay for I guess.Cons:
I guess I just had higher expectations but that's a personal thing from reading the reviews. But I guess it just depends on when you order.Bag of Gems!

Purchasing used golf balls is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, there are a large percentage of golfers who play with used balls.
So with that said "Scratch's Bag O' Rocks look very close to the "like new" ball in color and gloss. The only difference is maybe some markings or very small scuffs on some of the golf balls. Any level player can play with these and experience good to above average performance.
Pros:
48 "like new" balls for $16.00, how can you go wrong?!?! What's not to like about this AMAZING Rock Bottom Deal! Cons:
None. I would recommend this item to a friend.
Cheap Balls :D
By Craig in New Orleans on May 7, 2009

Perfect for a beginner like me who loses lots of balls. Only a few were in non-playable condition. Mix of balls, lots of top flite and wilson.
Good Deal
By AB on October 22, 2008

I got all Titleist except for 2 which was nice. The balls had nicks and scrapes, but nothing horrible. These are all well used balls. Don\'t buy if you don\'t like playing with a used ball. This is a great deal if you don\'t care what shape your ball is in. For me, this is a good deal since I lose a few balls per round. I\'m not sure if I would get this sack again though.
Great Deal!

Obviously not new, but a heck of a deal nonetheless!
Awesome Deal
By VTHokie on September 8, 2008

65-70% of the makes were Callaway, Nike and Titleist. Definitely worth the price and will buy again.
Great Deal
By Steve S on September 8, 2008

Great deal. Not new but still a fantastic deal. I only got 2 balls that were not Titleist. Yes..94 of the 96 balls were Titleist. Still most likely better than buying budget balls new for the quality. Thanks again Scratch!
Great Deal

This is a great deal for anyone looking to get as many pellets for the dollar as they can.
