RockBottomGolf.com Expands The Ladies Golf Equipment Section Of Their Website

With demand growing for women’s golf apparel and golf equipment, manufacturers are innovating to serve the marketplace.

Rochester, NY — June 2009 — RockBottomGolf.com, the online discount golf equipment retailer, announces a major marketing focus on ladies golf equipment for their online presence, citing a major retail golf trends survey that show 44% of the women research products and trends online while the average female respondent spent between $1200 and $2000 on golf apparel and golf equipment in 2008. Still, the same report showed that of the 94% of the respondents that used the internet to browse golf-related websites, a much smaller percentage actually used the internet to gather information about golf-related products.

RockBottomGolf’s own research showed that the women’s online golf marketplace was under-developed and largely untapped. To better serve female golf enthusiasts, RockBottomGolf retooled their website to make it easier for customers to find all the ladies golf equipment products. This section includes many of the newest ladies golf clubs, ladies footwear, and other accessories. Many of these golf equipment manufacturers have incorporated changes specifically designed for a range of women’s body types, swing styles and club head speeds, allowing female players at every level score better and enjoy the game even more.

A good example of these new ladies golf clubs would be the TaylorMade Ladies Burner 12° Driver for 2009 that helps female players with even the slowest swing speeds get the golf ball up faster and keeps the ball aloft longer. Innovation and assistance doesn’t end with drivers – now women can take advantage of advances in irons, woods, and putters as well. These changes have also radically altered the amount of clubs that women need to haul around the course as well. With the new golf club designs, women with swing speeds of 60 mph or less typically can get away with carrying only eight or nine clubs if they are fitted well.
