They don't make wedges like they used to

Bought the 61 degree version of this club several seasons ago but never completed my wedge set. Tried a few other sets and the solus always ended up on the bag. To find a brand new 56 on the site (lefty I might add) left me elated as I have been unable to find it anywhere for any type of discount. Solus has improved the grip since my original 61 with a basic golf pride grip which is sufficient. Great height control, spin control is a non issue as it generally comes to rest within inches of the ball mark. Amazing feel in bunkers and pitching. Only word of caution is chipping. Unless completely hooded, the clubface is so good at generating spin the you can assure yourself that the ball will likely check on the second bounce. Great for the downslope should you select a chip but coming up the hill you can come up short should you not commit.
9.8/10 Love it, saves strokes in many scenarios.

A great wedge....but really for the better player....

These wedges are great for the player who is capable of shaping shots and using bounce to their advantage. For the weekend warrior, you're better off with a perimeter weighted, game improvement wedge.

I have cut several strokes off my game with these wedges. They are easy to hit and have great loft.

I bought the 3 wedge set and this 47*, I really like the PW being the same as my other wedges, it has really let me dial in yardages.
