I'm using this mostly with my "trolley"
November 19, 2014
My previous carry bag was a Burton*, with an oval shape to the top. That oval shape made it easier to carry. But now that I'm using a push cart for 90+% of my rounds, I don't put as much emphasis on carry comfort. I'm looking for better access and ease of getting the bag on and off the "trolley."
The bag shape of this Pure-Lite is VERY square, which makes it roomy for the clubs when I'm using the push cart. The "cart friendly bottom" also makes it a little less of a struggle to get on and off the push cart. I would have liked to seen one more divider at the top for my longer clubs.... but that's a minor issue.
There are plenty of pockets, some of which are hard to see at first. A lot of room to store stuff, especially now that I am not too concerned about the total weight of those items. (Now that I'm using a push cart.)
The strap system on this bag doesn't look as comfortable as other bag systems I have seen or used. But that's an afterthought based on the way I use this bag.
I only give it 4 stars based on the divider design, the strap design and the overall "look" of the bag... which isn't the most exciting design I've seen. But overall, it suits my purposes and I'm happy with my purchase!
* The last person to actually carry my 6 year old Burton bag was a caddy at The Old Course at St. Andrews. He noticed its poor condition, especially when one of the internal support rods came out of the bag while he was pulling a club. I told him that this was the bag's last round and I would be "retiring" it as soon as I got back to the States. But what a great final round for any piece of equipment, to go 'round the Old Course!
Lots of pockets
The built-in handle at the top makes it easy to manipulate the whole bag
Cart friendly bottom
Locking straps for the legs
Works well with push cart
Cons:Boxy to carry
Needs one more divider
Not the most stylish looking bag at the bag drop
