Good replacement for Penta 5
September 16, 2013
Can't find Penta 5's anymore and as a 10-handicapper, I can't bring myself to pay $48/dzn for golf balls. I just tried these out & don't see a difference from the P5s as far as distance off the tee is concerned. At impact they have the same good feel as the P5s.
I'm a drop-&-stop player on approach shots use very little backspin so can't comment on spin control around the greens.
For me they're great and have become my new standard.
Pros:Seem as long as the discontinued Penta 5s I used to play with. Not Titleist, so less likely to be confused with everyone else's ball.
Half the price of the "premiere" balls that don't offer anything more to me.
