TECHNOLOGY YOU CAN SEE.

PERFORMANCE YOU CAN FEEL.

TARGET:
All players who want the best of both worlds — a traditionally shaped and sized iron that also has modern performance technology that enhances distance, launch angle and forgiveness.

  • New and improved Speed Pocket with ThruSlot Technology
  • ThruSlot Technology promotes fast speed and high launch across the face.
  • Modern-classic blended shape, slim topline and thinner sole for superb look and playability.
  • Complex vibration-dampening system delivers Tour-caliber sound and feel.
  • Consistent gapping and precise distance control throughout the set.
  • New KBS Tour C-Taper 90 designed to promote high launch, and spin control

The SLDR iron is ideal for players who want the eye-appeal and responsiveness of a classically shaped iron with as well as modern performance technology that promotes higher and longer shots.

When we say classic looking we mean a simple, triangular shape, not too big, with a thin topline, thin sole and beautiful chrome finish. Many golfers find this look appealing, but don’t feel like they have the skill for such an iron. The SLDR iron has changed that – its new, ThruSlot Speed Pocket helps you launch the ball with more speed and with a higher launch angle than you can with past player’s iron. The high flight promotes a steep descent angle for quick stops on the green. We’ve never made an iron like this that goes this far and feels so good. And it’s all thanks to careful calibration of the Speed Pocket’s design as well as the discreetly positioned badge on the back that absorbs unwanted vibration.

Any player who loves the look and performance of a classic player’s iron, including those who’ve admired them from afar but convinced themselves they don’t have the skill to put them in their bag, will love the new SLDR iron and its extraordinary of beauty and distance-enhancing performance.

    An absolute beast
    August 19, 2014
I love this driver, long and straight all day. I didn't get along with the stock shaft all I could do was snap hook it, I switch to a Speeder 757 and it was nothing but high bombs. I ended up setting it to 11 degrees where my last driver was 9.5. The driver is very forgiving to me, once dialed it has a tendency to go straight.
    Pros:
    LONG, forgiving and solid
    Cons:
    Not thrilled with the sound

    Low spinner
    July 22, 2014
I usually play 10.5 and even with this thing set higher I was still getting very low spin. The ball just rolls forever so the distance is amazing. The weight had a noticeable effect on ball too. I toe the ball a bit and even on toe hits, even though the ballflight is different, the distance loss is minimal. The feel is different to my normal driver. It didn't feel as solid but I'm sure it wouldn't take long to get use to it.
    Pros:
    Low spin. Distance. Forgiveness.
    Cons:
    Feels different.

    Straighter as advertised!
    July 13, 2014
I have hit more fairways this year since switching to the SLDR driver. Go to the highest loft for best results. I would recommend to any mid or high handicapper for sure!

    What a weapon
    June 26, 2014
My new SLDR fairway wood is working better than expected. I can now count on it for those 200 yard or so u2nd shots on long par 4's. At almost 70 years old and a 8 handicap, this club shold keep me competitive for years to come. The adjustable loft is easy to work and find your niche, I am reluctant to share with my buddies. I don't want them to catch me. I have the SLDR driver from 2013 which I love! HG

    SLDR - FAIRWAY WOOD.
    February 19, 2014
Hello All - I Spent a couple of session s @ the driving Range and now I'm more comfortable using the fairway wood . This club is a little toe heavy like the wooden woods of old but not to the old extreme. I've been using 5 wood with 17.5 degree of loft - it has a graphite shaft and is really light compared to the SLDR Fairway wood.
    Pros:
Yards of the mark have increased. Lower Centre Of Gravity. Speed Pocket.
    Cons:
    A little toe heavy.

    Awesome in Oz
    February 8, 2014
Well had this club for a few games now and it is awesome. Everything the advertising says, long, great ball flight and with the 430cc head very workable, for both fade and draw. I have also loaned it to a couple of mates who have tried it with their own shaft preferences, veylix, fujikura motore 6.5 and a oban shaft. For each person this club performed great. The only comment I will make is that other seem to think that the R1 is longer but the SLDR is straighter and more workable.
    Pros:
Solid day in day out performance
    Cons:
May not be as long as the SLDR 460 or the R1 460. If you are willing to possibly forsake small amount of length for accuracy and workability. then this is the club for you

    Easy
    January 26, 2014
I love this driver - adding more loft actually means more distance. I changed my driver a few times last year and finally got fitted in Nov and can actually step to the tee box with confidence. Long long long, crazy long!! Have not really messed with the weighting system but it does work. If you are playing a course with a ton of doglegs, slide it one or two slots and just swing it normal and your ball flight will change.
    Pros:
Adjustability is easy. Add loft and it goes much farther and is easy to control. Very workable club. Nice on the eyes and glad they went away from that horrible white looking driver.
    Cons:
Plain Jane looks which I like. Not flashy except for distance.

    Great 5 wood
    January 15, 2014
Have been using the Ping Anser 5 wood. This is a little longer, but the flight is a lot lower, which is what I wanted.

    Excellent
    November 17, 2013
I don't know how TM keeps doing it but they've done it agaib here with the SLDR. I think it has something to do with the acquisition of Adams golf. Adams was always a very innovative albeit small company, but now that TM owns them they've been able to take that innovation to a bigger scale. I had the R1 and loved its accuracy and adjustability although that feature got a little out of hand especially when I started tinkering with different weights. The SLDR has simplified this process by using a set weight and removing the sole plate adjustment. This club is as accurate as my R1 but longer, about 8-12 yards for me which is a big jump. People claiming any yardage gain beyond that amount for this, or any other club for that matter, are either lying, dont know how far they really hit it, or not taking into account the added yardage that comes with improved accuracy. Regardless this club is excellent. Not as sleek looking as my R1 was but that's a small sacrifice I was willing to make (this also lets TM release more SLDRs in white, black, etc). Ball also makes a crisper sound coming off the club face which I like. Price tag is high so unless money is not object it would be worth waiting for this club to drop to $349 after a few months then $299 after a few more as that is the pattern for TM and most other manufacturers too. Definitely go out and demo this club though and make sure its right for you before spending that money. Rockbottom was great as usual. Hope this helps
    Pros:
    Simpler design Longer Better feedback
    Cons:
Topline not as pretty as R1

    Wow
    October 3, 2013
Unbelievable! This driver is incredible, I haven't needed to adjust it yet, but it's nice to know I have the option. I hit this straighter and longer than any other driver. The first use of this driver I hit 11/13 fairways in regulation. I have continued to hit more FIR every time in use it. TM have out done themselves this time and will be hard to beat. Don't buy any other driver.
    Pros:
    Everything
    Cons:
    Nothing
