So Far So Good
April 2, 2014
I have been using XCG-3s for the better part of two years, and while I have dabbled with many other irons during that time, they were always my "gamers" and what I compared all the others against. I couldn't find anything I felt as comfortable with as often. I decided I wanted a lighter shaft so I started looking around and was scared off by the lack of reviews and info about the CUs, but finally came to my sense and got a set. How did it work out? Well, the beloved XCG-3s have been retired. These look so much better than the pictures; the heads/soles/toplines are much more compact, way more so than the current XCG offerings. The satin finish looks really great. I'm also much happier with the lighter shafts; they're light but not too light. Distance is comparable to my old set, but I also still don't really have these completely dialed in yet. All in all, these are just another set of solid, completely underrated, TEE clubs. For anyone on the fence, they're really worth taking a chance on.
