Building on past successes, Tour Edge engineers improved on previous designs by adding two additional tungsten sole weights, a deeper undercut cavity and a thinner sole. The result is more versatility while maintaining maximum forgiveness.

On the cutting edge of design, the XCG5 features our thinnest face to date. At only 2.2 mm, the face has varying levels of thickness for better feel and distance on off-center hits. In addition, the deeper undercut cavity moves more weight to the outer edges, creating our overall largest effective hitting area to date in an iron.

Four tungsten sole weights help lower the iron's center of gravity to optimize trajectory and maximize stability at impact (MOI). Plus, each iron in the set is engineered to maximize its specific task: everything from the CG location, offset, face thickness, and top line width is adjusted to produce ideal performance results from each iron. Add this truly remarkable set of irons to your game and experience Exotics performance.

Features:

  • Variable Face Thickness technology maximizes feel and distance, even on off center contact
  • Deeper undercut cavity moves more weight to the rear outer edges of the head for maximum stability
  • Progressive offset design produces ideal trajectory and distance control for every iron in the set

XCG5 Golf Clubs from Tour Edge
    January 20, 2014
Well made clubs and nicely balanced. They seem fairly forgiving and like they will help develop my game.
    Pros:
Great balance, modern club head design with wider sole and streamlined shape.
    Cons:
Grips could be grippier for my liking.

    very solid clubs
    January 9, 2014
I received these clubs as a Christmas present and they are the best clubs I have ever hit. The ball jumps off the face of the club. They are very long and hit the ball high. The light weight shaft and the weights in the club head really allow to release the club. Great feel and great distance. Love these clubs. I would recommend them to anyone especially at this price.

Really like these irons. Very forgiving. I am a 29 year old beginner and my only grip is that they don't sound good. More of a knock than a ping but that is minor. I would recommend them to anyone.
    Pros:
Forgiving. Won't dig in. Look nice
    Cons:
    Sound

    Solid Set of Irons
    July 27, 2013
I have been playing XCG3s for awhile and grabbed these in an impulse buy to see if they could unseat my gamers. I like them a lot, just not enough to ditch my current set. They feel nice and are easy to hit and elevate the ball. Visually, they're a little more "game improvement" than previous XCG sets, but still not a terrible offender. Overall, I liked them a bunch, but there just wasn't enough of a difference for them to stand out. This is actually a good thing, however, since they're so similar feeling to the XCG3s, which are phenomenal clubs
    Pros:
    looks feel TE build quality
    Cons:
    more "game improvement" looking

Got the set for Christmas and after the weather broke and changing the grip was hitting pretty decent but not great. I finally realized i needed to adjust my lie angle because im only 5'4" tall. So after i had a professional agree, he adjusted the lie and once again i am hitting like my old set but better and a littlle longer. 9 iron going 140yds. I am a 10 handicap.
    Pros:
The feel off the club face
    Cons:
    Grips

I've only played one round but I can see the performance that these irons produce. I've gained a few yards but , more important, I've gained accuracy. I'm a 20+ handicap and these irons are going to shave strokes off that. Good looking at address and a very solid feel. I'm able to get the ball in the air quickly without sacrificing distance. Love 'em so far. I'm not sure if it took my star rating, but it's a 5 star set of irons.
    Pros:
+1 length Solid feel Good looking Forgiving
    Cons:
    Nothing yet

Tour Edge Exotics XCG5 Irons Steel Shafts
    March 6, 2013
I have used xcg irons and woods for a few years, after reading the reviews, I thought I would give them a try. The irons felt heavy, couldn't find the sweet spot enough, to get a feel for them. The heads to me were a little bit too big and distance wasn't anymore than what I was getting from my other clubs. I am a 5 handicap.
    Pros:
Good looking head, Tour Edge quality, price and lifetime warranty.
    Cons:
Grip logos on bottom(had a hard time squaring the head in my set up) Heavy feeling. Heads too big. Not enough feel (feedback)

I have only played once with them but i love them. I gained 10 to 15 yards with each iron. They feel great and the wedges have a soft feel when approaching the green.
    Pros:

    Cons:
    nothing

For the money the best set of clubs I have ever purchased!
    January 20, 2013
Played with them about 10 rounds since getting them. I've played with most of the major brands and these are as good or better then any, The price was less then half that my Callaway Rarz X''s were. Both are very nice clubs but so far I am really impressed by the feel and accuracy of the XCG 5's.
    Pros:
    I haven't found anything I don't like about them.
    Cons:
As of yet not any dislikes. I thought the finish may scatch easily but they have been holding up well.

Just purchased this set of XCG5 irons and I must say they are sweet clubs ......long , not too much offset ...very solid feel and adding the A wedge was a good idea...could not be happier with them .
    Pros:
Feel solid, long, not clunky like most game improvement irons.
    Cons:

Solid feeling, good looking clubs, inconsistent swingweight
    December 19, 2011
My Tour Edge Exotics XCG irons look good - narrow top line, moderate offset and sole width. Solid feel at impact and game improvement forgiveness. However, the swing weight is inconsistent in my set- 5i through 8i are D4; 9i and PW are D3. These clubs must have failed in Quality Control. I am 65 years old and these clubs are too heavy for me. I'm donating them to The First Tee for a youngster to enjoy.
    Pros:
    Looks, solid feel.
    Cons:
    Inconsistent swing weight.
