WILSON GAP WEDGE - A GREAT SHORT GAME CLUB
June 26, 2015
In the last 50+ years, the lofts on golf irons have been decreased to a point where a PW and SW, no longer cover short game shots. A loft gap of up to 10 degrees between these two "scoring club", leaves a significant yardage gap (up to 25 yards) between them. Adding a GAP WEDGE at 48-52 degrees, fills the gap and allows players to hit more lofted shots around the greens and eliminate the distance gap as well. Add a LOB WEDGE and you have most shots covered from 130 yards to the hole. Wilson has historically made great wedges in many lofts and configurations (excepting the DUAL Wedge, which was worthless)!
Pros:performs as advertised, attractive black finish, new grooves, well balanced, fills the gap between PW and SW on most sets, great for short or full shots
