FAQs:
Q: Is the R1 Push really built in Great Britain?
A: Yes every single one is built by hand in Gloucestershire, just like our exclusive X & F Series powered products. Parts for the R1 Push are made by specialist manufacturers across the world, and then assembled by hand right here in Great Britain. This allows us to ensure every product meets our exacting standards before it reaches you.
Q: What do you mean, “can hold any bag”?
A: Many golfers who use a push cart also like to carry sometimes. Stand/carry bags usually have a leg mechanism which then does not sit properly on a cart. We have designed our bag jaws to grip the bags outer edges, allowing the mechanism to sit through the middle. This means your bag will be the ‘right way up’, allowing access to your pockets and clubs as the designers intended.
Q: Will I be able to get spare parts?
A: Of course! As we assemble the R1 Push in GB we have every part, you will be able to buy these from our website or from your local distributor.
Q: How should I clean my R1 Push?
A: You should just use a damp cloth to keep the cart clean from dust or dirt. If your club has an airline you can use this to carefully blow any dust from the visible parts of the mechanism. It is not recommended that you use a pressure washer or hosepipe, water could get in to the tubes or damage the bearings.
Q: Why are the main tubes triangular not round or oval like other carts?
A: Louis Sullivan's famous axiom, “form follows function” is never truer than here. As you can see in the ‘how it works’ section, the rear wheels fold courtesy of two angled racks mated to a flat top rack. These angles are critical to the way the R1 Push works, so it made sense to create a custom shaped tube to fit the angled racks perfectly. In order to maintain continuity in the aesthetic, this same profile is used for the main upright tube. In addition, the ball marker also uses the same profile. This both echo’s the main shape of the machine, and also ensures the SG logo is always aligned correctly.
Q: Can I get hedgehog winter wheels for the R1 Push?
A: Yes you will be able to. These are currently underway and we expect to have them by the time the winter comes around. If you sign up for the mailing list above or register your warranty, you’ll be emailed as soon as they are available.
Q: Can I adjust the front wheel to make sure it runs straight?
A: No. The R1 Push has been engineered for consistent build quality, which means the front wheel is assembled perfectly in line with the cart.
Q: Why is it called the R1 Push?
A: The 'R' stands for 'rack' as this is the basis of the design, and '1' is because this is the first of a brand new design. The 'R' also stands for 'Ross' which is the first name of our Chairman Ross Stewart, who came up with the rack & pinion folding concept.

Great on the hills
June 29, 2020
Bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He took it out last week to a course that has many hills, he said it was a breeze getting around the course.Said he got many compliments from other golfers (they had cart envy).

Very Durable
July 26, 2018
This cart is well built and will last many years. Plenty of room for your golf gadgets and has knobs on the side of the handle for accessories. The Clickgear products will also fit with this cart. Opening and closing can sometimes be a challenge, but once you break the code, all is well. Cart is easy to push and tracks straight. It looks quite different from other carts out there, but hey, it's a "Golf Trolley"!
ProsWell built and sharp colors

Easiest to open and close of any cart I've ever owned. Very solidly built. Just played on round so far, on a wet hilly course. Out preformed my Sun Mountain. Score card holder is different, if you put a tee in it's slot it holds the card in place. Large bottle holder and good storage in the handle.
ProsEase of operation, foot break is new to me and it works very well.
ConsPrice, but worth it so far.

This is the best!

I am amazed at the look and feel of this machine. I've used many push carts before but this is the best. I got it for Father's day and I know I will use this for years. Thanks again.

Best push cart
May 5, 2017
Practical and very easy to use. I've used it for 4 or 5 rounds now and it's definitely the best push cart I've had. It's very easy to fold/unfold and fits easily into the trunk. It takes just a few seconds to unfold and clipping the bag into the rubber bungee straps is very straightforward. It's not the cheapest push cart on the market but it is one of the best made!
ProsEasy to fold, build quality, great straps
Consprice (worth it though)

High quality and looks great

I'm very happy with this trolley. It is high quality and looks great. You can adjust the height of the push handle to suit and the foot brake is great. I have a large tour bag which fits easily and securely.

Superb push cart.
October 16, 2015
This is a superb push trolley. I previously had the Z1 trolley which was excellent. Then when I changed my car I needed something smaller, I went for a Cicgear 8 which I was led to believe was smaller but its not. So I now have the R1 which is by far the smartest, smallest, well built golf cart I have ever owned.

Awesome Push Cart!
October 15, 2015
Bought the R1 Push around a month ago and it's fantastic. Folds down extremely small and fits neatly in the trunk of my car. Takes only a few seconds to assemble and you're good to go! Top work Stewart Golf!!

Good looking cart
October 15, 2015
Good solid cart, the only issue is attachment of front wheel. It did not lock in place.
