Stinger "COMPETITION" tees average 14 yards farther than a golf ball hit off of a regular tee...
  • The thinner head and shaft of the Stinger Golf Tee minimize golf club obstruction and deflection, thereby maximizing club head stability upon impact. This improves golf ball flight direction as well as distance.
  • Because of their ultra-streamlined shape, Stinger Tees go into hard ground much easier than regular tees, and the sharp tip of the Stinger tee is perfect for cleaning dirty club head grooves.
  • Unlike regular "painted" tees, the special natural finish of the Stinger Tee won't leave ugly, hard to remove marks on the bottom of club heads.
  • In addition to their performance benefits, environmentally, Stinger Golf Tees are the most "golf course friendly" tees on the market today. Because of their unique size, shape, and special finish, Stinger Golf Tees will biodegrade in less than half the time of regular tees (and corn tees), and Stinger Tees absolutely minimize the damage done to expensive turf cutting blades. Golf course superintendents will appreciate this.

The 4" length is a bonus on downwind holes or anytime you need to hit it a little higher. Bamboo is strong and these don't break like standard wooden tees. I also like the fact that they aren't gimmicky (brush tees, etc...) They also don't bend like plastic tees of the same length when the ground is a little firm. I would choose them again in a heartbeat.
Prosextra 1/2" over standard "long" tees bamboo is strong - they don't break easily not gimmicky looking
Consnatural color is a little tougher to find on the teeing ground when it doesn't stay in place getting ball to stay on top is a little tricky because of the small head size

hard to keep ball on top of tee

I got the long skinny tees that are hard to keep ball on top of tee. Should have gotten one that has a bigger top. Did not see a difference in distance with these tees.

    Disappointed with these tees
    September 16, 2015
I purchased these tees, because I've seen them on the golf course a lot this year and wanted to try them myself. Besides spending what seemed like minutes trying to get the ball to stay on the tee, one swing and they were broken. Just not worth it to me.

Competition heads very small, Break easy
    July 9, 2015
Tees are great, seem to help just a little with distance due to lower friction from the tiny head, but nothing major. The heads on the competition tees are VERY small, on a windy day they are not the hot ticket, too hard to keep a ball on the tee. Unless you tee the ball high so that there's not much tee in the ground, they break easy, basically use the tee once. I actually cut the tees down so there isn't much in the ground so that they pull out and not break off. They last a lot longer that way, but involves a little work. Over all I am happy with them, once I cut them so that I get more than 1 hole per tee. Next time I'm trying the regular tees with slightly larger heads
ProsSmall head is great for distance, and minimal resistance to club
Consbreak easily, competition head is really small!!

Tried these a few weeks ago and consistently see 15+ yards off the tee and I am hitting more fairways. My buddies said they have never seen me drive the ball so well. I'm not having any issues with the tees breaking more often as others have mentioned. Bought the 3 1/4 tees. Love these!

Scratch beats the competition to a tee!
    May 2, 2015
I love these tees and have trouble finding them in larger quantities and at a reasonable price. Lucky for me I found them here. Speedy delivery made my purchase even better.!
ProsThese skinny tees create very little friction and allow me to hit more of the ball and less of the tee.
ConsDue to their skinny-ness, they do break more easily than most tees but that's to be expected. Also, you need a bit of a steady hand to set the ball since the head of the tee is small.

Avoid the Competition Tees - Buy the Pro XL's
    September 6, 2014
Don't bother with the competition tees, get the pro-xl's. I accidentally ordered the 4" comps and meant to get the 3 1/4" pro xl's... guess I wasn't paying enough attention. The 4" are ridiculously long and the head is so small that balancing a ball on top of them is a challenge. As far as the pro-xl's go though they are great, since I have switched to them I don't even consider using anything else. PS RB has a great price on these!
ProsPro-XL's - Fairly durable, can't tell they are there!
ConsCan be a bit challenging to get the ball to balance in windy or soft ground conditions, the tee really has to be close to exact perpendicular in relation to the ground. The competition tees have just silly small heads and the 4" aren't needed unless you have a ridiculously deep face on your driver or are swinging up like crazy... pretty much why they are meant for competition purposes only!

    3" Competition Version
    March 24, 2014
I wanted to try these tees out (I typically use the standard 3-1/4" wood version). Didn't notice much difference in distance or feel, but did notice it's a little harder to balance the ball on the smaller top. I'll most likely go back to the old school ones when I'm done with these.
