Know Your Course

Approach S60 comes preloaded with maps for more than 41,000 golf courses around the world, and it offers automatic downloads of updates for those you play the most often when synced with Garmin Connect.

Get precise distances to each location on the course, as well as PlaysLike Distance, which adjusts yardages to account for uphill and downhill shots so you can select the best club for the situation. And with Touch Targeting, you can touch any point on the map for precise measurement to that exact spot — including fairway, sand traps, water hazards and more.

Know Your Course

Reach the Pin

Green View gives you each green’s true shape from wherever you are on the course, and it allows you to manually drag-and-drop the pin into the correct location for the day for greater accuracy. PinPointer even tells you the direction to the pin when you have a blind shot.

Reach The Pin

Know Your Swing

Pair your Approach S60 with the Garmin TruSwing™ golf swing analyzer to get swing training, including swing speed and club path angles. By understanding what your swing is doing and how it impacts ball flight, you can improve the consistency of each swing.

Know Your Swing

Personal Timepiece, Personal Touches

Sync the Approach S60 to your compatible smartphone to get smart notifications for incoming calls, texts, emails and other alerts. ultimate convenience, buttons alittle touchy
November 12, 2019
watch looked brand new, no hint of being refurbished other than the box having"refurbished" printed all over it. charged quickly and setup was a breeze. i've used it for 3 rounds so far.

Prosconvenient to have the yardages at all times right at my wrist increases shot confidence having the map of the hole and seeing where you are in relation to the green. i know it saved me from hitting too far right on one hole last round. in the past i probably would've been in the woods since it was a blind shot. simple to get up and running at the first tee. love that i can disable scoring right up front so it is even more set-and-forget
Consthe buttons are really light to the touch so i frequently inadvertantly move off the yardage view and have to click the back button. alittle annoying. battery life is good not great, it will last two 4hr rounds

After using for many many rounds, the evaluation.
October 6, 2019
I have used this watch for many rounds now(14). The watch itself is plastic but has held up so far to wear and tear. The band could be a little more comfortable but not bad. The setup was fairly easy and syncing with software was seamless. Acquiring satellites is easy and quick and I have used it on about 5 different courses. I set it to keep score and off I go. Now, the awesome thing about this watch is that it logs shots. Not so much soft chips or putts tho. You have to add them to the round in the software layout which is not hard at all. After the final putt, you put in your score for the hole. If you dont do this, it will not log any more shots until you do. You can add them in on the software but it is an extra step that is unnecessary. At the turn you can pause the round to save battery. This is nice for an extended break at the turn. Battery is good and I usually get three rounds on one charge. I like it because I dont have to keep up with a laser if my partner has the cart. The distance is on my wrist at a glance.

There is talk about the accuracy of the watch into the green being inaccurate. This is true to a point. The watch is very user friendly after a round or two. You can see distances to hazards correctly and into the middle of the green. and it even gives you distance in lines. default distance is middle of the green. You can correct the pin placement to get a more accurate distance but if you dont put it on the watch where it ACTUALLY is on the green then you will see a difference vs laser. This small margin of error can put you off two to five yards. You will not be as accurate as with a laser that goes straight to the pin. Super easy to adjust pin placement tho.

The understated high point of the watch is its lack of needed attention on the course. You set it up at the beginning, adjust pins on the green if you want and put scores in on each hole and it does the rest. Where it really shines is when you get home and view your round on the Connect software. After you let the software know what clubs you used on what shots, You are now able to see distances by club. This creates data for you to know what to use where. And if you play the same course several times, you can hit the history icon and it will show where you hit during previous rounds so you can see a pattern.

It is a nice watch to wear daily as it synced with my phone pretty easy. I can get texts and calls to answer or decline but can not talk over the watch like an iwatch can. Smart watch info is pretty solid and steps and health data can be collected as well. Individual club sensors are available, but I have not tried them.

Price point. Well it is not cheap. But if you bought a Laser, shot analyzer, and watch you would pay way more. The technology this watch offers is well worth that price tag. As long as you are accustomed to wearing watches while playing, this purchase is really a must have. After reviewing other watches, nothing really compares. And no, I dont work for Garmin.

Overall, I will say this watch will do a lot more than what I have tried thus far but what I have tried has worked well. I would suggest this watch over a phone app any day. Apps take too much time for input during a round and this needs very little input during a round. Most retailers offer a return policy of some kind. Take this watch for a spin and I promise you will not be disappointed.
ProsEasy setup and fluid operation with a familiarization round. Shot logging is awesome and dependable without input. Distances to middle are accurate unless you manually move pin but they will still be pretty close. Syncs well with phones and computer software. The software is a valuable learning tool to analyze strengths and weakness'. Battery life is awesome and day-to-day wearing is more than acceptable. Watch is a GPS so it is setup for many activities like running or biking or hiking as well. It logs it all. And it does it pretty accurately.
ConsShot log pauses if you dont input score after each hole. The charging cable is a special cable, I guess recurring revenue would be the only reason I can think of for this. Cable seems solid but if it breaks, only one place to get one...Garmin. Only keeps your score. Does not keep score for other players in your group. Watchband could be a little more comfortable for the price point.

Great watch but minimal Instruction
July 13, 2019
This watch is loaded with features. I€™m constantly finding new ways to use this watch. The one downfall is it can be complicated to figure out how to use it and has very minimal instructions on how to use it.
ProsGreat features
ConsHard to figure out at first Price

Accurate GPS, but is it worth the price?
May 3, 2019
So right off the bat, it€™s an accurate watch in regards to golf yardage. Period. Convenient and relatively easy to use on course. I think you MIGHT be able to get two full rounds out of it before charging, in my watch at the end of 18 I€™m usually around 55-58% charge. However, when all said and done, unless you need ALL of the features this watch offers. I would get the S40 instead and save yourself $200. Stainless bezel, all the same GPS functionality, some of the same features, and a (supposed) 5 hour longer battery life. This isn€™t a bad watch by any means, I just think it€™s a hard pill to swallow now that the S40 exists.

Great Watch if Tech-Savvy
September 26, 2017
This is a great watch and does everything as advertised. I would highly recommend buying this watch IF you are comfortable with the technology. The watch works well, looks great, and serves many purposes, but only if you know how to use it.
Pros-Golf functions are very helpful -Can wear as everyday watch -Other fitness activities are logged on watch
ConsI personally wish I would've gotten the upgraded version because of the ceramic bezel. I went with the less expensive model because I liked the idea of a rubber watch band instead of leather, but the plastic bezel on the watch feels a little cheap.

Best out there

I'm a gear junkie. I can't decide between laser rangefinder or GPS watch. This product make the decision really hard.

After my Bushnell V2 took a swim, I was able to get the Pro X2 at a great price and I love it. It's the best as far as handhelds go but this watch is pinpoint accurate. I know because I'm testing them side by side. The watch even has slope adjustments which are very accurate.

Plus, it's a full blown smart watch. It counts steps, sleep, workouts, etc...

You can change the face to a 1000 options from the Garmin store for free.

It is also very nice looking. A part of me wishes I splurged for the premium version but I'm very happy.

It's worth the splurge. It'sike having a cart GPS on your wrist.
