SLDR S fairway woods and Rescue clubs offer a tremendous combination of distance and ease of launch, providing distance for all, regardless of clubhead speed.

The striking modern-classic shape, satin silver crown and black “button-back” all adds up to a remarkably beautiful appearance at address that promotes easy alignment.

The Speed Pocket allowed TaylorMade engineers to make the face shallower while still maintaining the same high speed as SLDR fairways and Rescues. The SLDR S Rescue face is shallower than the SLDR, lowering the CG in relation to the center of the face to make it easier to launch the ball on a high angle, promoting a high, long-carrying flight that descends on a steep angle for quick, controlled landings.

SLDR S Rescue clubs are equipped with Fujikura’s Speeder 72h shaft, designed specifically for hybrids. At 72 grams, this shaft is 10 grams lighter than the original SLDR Rescue shaft to promote increased clubhead speed.

  • Low profile head design with shallow face promotes easy launch for outstanding playability.
  • Speed Pocket design promotes fast ball speed for longer distance
  • Low-forward CG promotes fast ball speed and low spin for optimal launch conditions
  • Satin silver crown with black button-back promotes easy alignment

    Looks Great, Easy to Hit!
    September 5, 2016
The Taylormade SLDR S Rescue was easy to hit and looked great when looking down at hit. The best part was that it got the ball out of the rough and goes high like a rescue is suppose to do!!
Pros1. Looks! 2. Easy to hit. 3. Price!!!!!!!!

Everything I expected from Taylor Made
    August 12, 2016
A very nice club. My iron set didn't have a three iron so when I saw that Rock Bottom had this for around $50 I jumped on it. A bit more distance than my old Burner Plus 3 Iron and very forgiving. You cannot go wrong with Taylor Made or Rock Bottom.

    Great addition to my kit
    August 10, 2016
I've been very pleased with the performance I've been able to achieve with this club. I usually hit my longer irons pretty well but was finding that I sometimes struggled to get clean hits from the rough or from bad lies. This is where this rescue club shines! The larger head allows it to cut through the junk without shifting the face too much and results in fewer mis-hits. I'm able to consistently hit a solid 200-210 yards with the 4H version that I got and I couldn't be happier.
Prosbetter than long irons on many shots where the lie or surrounding vegetation would turn the face of an iron. Looks sharp.
Consdidn't come with a wrench, but then I don't find that I needed it all that much either

    Good Replacement for Long Irons
    August 7, 2016
I bought the 3 and 4 for my dad because he has difficulty hitting any long iron square--usually chunks the shot. He hits these great and only mishits on occasion. He now wants me to get the 5 hybrid. He is much more consistant at longer distances and loves these hybrids. It helps prevent chunk shots and creates better contact.
ProsBetter contact Good weight Good aesthetics Easy to hit

    Exactly What I Needed
    July 9, 2016
This hybrid is so easy to hit. Off the tee I have excellent control and the perfect combination of distance and height to drive those short par 4 fairways where a wood would be too long. I've played 3 rounds with this club so far and I find that I'm getting better lies and typically a better yardage for my approach shot. From the deck on a par 5, the trajectory is straight with not a ton of height which is producing lots of run with the ball slightly ahead of center in your setup. Most par 5's are not reachable for me and this club normally gets me an easy 10-25 yard pitch with a good look at a birdie putt. Driver-250, 3 hybrid-215, pitch, putt.
    ProsControl. Run.

    July 9, 2016
At 60 years old, I decided to take the hybrid plunge...glad I did. Now have a 3, 4 and 5 SLDR S Hybrid and love making 160-180 yard approaches. Why did I wait so long? Put the long irons away, regardless of age, and don't look back!
ProsPlain and simple, much easier to hit than long irons.
ConsI liked the 4 so much, I used it when I shouldn't of, over shot greens. Easily remedied though, I got a 5.

I needed a go-to 200 yard club, from the fairway or the rough. The price on this chub was great so I thought I'd give it a try. My first Taylor Made purchase; One of the best club investments I've made. Got it in 5 days. Took it to the range, two hours before a tourney, worked out the newness and used it with confidence in the tourney. Easy club to use; you don't have to feel like you need to power thru your swing to have the club work effectively. The combination of my ball and a smooth swing created very good launch and distance. Glad I made this purchase.

Upgrading from by Burner Hybrids of many years. These new clubs are a bit heavier and after a few rounds I really like this weight. Clubs hit rally nice with a very smooth feeling. Only issue is the head covers that cam with them. They don't seem to fit over the head very well. They seem to be a bit small. This slight problem does not take away from my overall satisfaction with the clubs though.
Prosgreat weight and balance feeling. great regular flex shaft/
Conshead cover seems to small for the head. waiting to see how long before I lose them.
