Toulon Design Austin Putter

The Austin is truly a timeless design. To the untrained eye, it resembles a Madison. However, upon closer inspection, especially to the putter aficionado, the differences are obvious. The Austin features taller back bumpers that slope aggressively into the wider back cavity. While the bumpers slope steeply, the edges are stunningly rounded for an ultra-clean look. The smaller shoulders melt effortlessly into the bumpers, giving you a pleasingly soft aesthetic. Even the back cavity pocket is formed with an enduring design that pays homage to putters of the past.

The Austin comes stock with an H1 hosel and a top line alignment aid. It has a 45 degree toe hang, and works best for golfers with a slight-to-moderate arcing putting stroke. We combined this spectacular traditional shape with our innovative Deep Diamond Mill face pattern to give you world class performance and feel in a delightfully old school design.

Deep Diamond Mill

Our unique pattern was designed after rigorous testing of 25 different mill patterns. The deep cross-hatch grooves control the sound and feel by channeling vibration and the small groove inside each diamond pattern is designed to improve the quality of the roll. The result is a putter where the sound and feel are tuned to match the distance that the ball rolls.

The Meaning Behind The Name

Texas has produced some of the game’s greatest champions, and the robust, vibrant culture of Austin symbolizes their dynamic talents. Players from this area have provided fans with countless memories, and they are legendary figures that stand proudly atop the history of the sport. Our Austin model is inspired by the heritage of these golf icons, with an elegance and classic look that is timeless.

It was time to upgrade my driver. I had already purchased a set of M6 irons so thought I’d try the driver too. I gained probably 15 yards!

These irons were an immediate upgrade from my older Taylormade RACs. The sound these make is deep and the ball flies further than I’ve hit any other iron. Almost identical to the SIM, so save $300 and pick these up.

20+ Yards on Your Drive
July 7, 2020
First time out played 18 and the club felt very comfortable. When i made good contact the club responded by adding about 20-30 yards per drive. Was averaging about 250 yards, and after using the club, was able to average about 280. Very good sweet spot. Awesome "ping" sound on contact. Sounded like a college baseball game going off.
ProsLightweight, sturdy build with the stiff version, large sweet spot, and forgiving when you mis-hit.
Cons"Ping" on contact. Not necessarily a bad thing, just lets you know you hit the ball.
