Adams Golf- Idea A2 Hybrid Irons Graph/Steel

Well, on May 7, 2012 I hit a hole in one with the 8 Iron, 131 yards. Proud Moment so I figure a thumbs up review for the clubs and this site are in order.

Had these clubs for 3 years, and do not regret purchasing them for a second. Only thing i needed to change after 3 years are the grips. Great clubs!

Go ahead and buy these irons, if you want to improve your game, but are not yet ready to pay at least triple this price for custom fitting and suggested irons. These were highly rated by Golf Digest a few years ago as great game improvement irons.
These are a step up from my previous Dunlap Ice and Golden Bear entry level irons. Like with any iron, you still need to know how to “hit down on the ball” and not “scoop it” to get the benefits of these clubs. Take a lesson, if that is the problem.

I got these from Rock Bottom Golf two years ago and I can tell you that they hit long and with plenty of high loft. My balls stick to the green so much easier with these clubs and my bag is so light that I can easily carry it.

I\'ve been playing for twenty years, nearly all of them with Tommy Armour EQLs. I decided to upgrade all of my equipment this year, and I am happy with my purchase of the Adams Idea A2 hybrid irons. I hit them equally as well as the Tommy\'s but get a little more forgiveness if I toe a shot. I was excited about playing the 3 and 4 hybrids but have found that I hook them more often than not. I am currently at a 7.8 handicap, and have a natural swing. The only way that I can straighten out the hybrids is to weaken my grip and swing as if I were trying to fade the ball. That seems to work, but it feels so strange that I have trouble trusting that I won\'t slice. I\'ve been playing these clubs for about 3 months and will continue to try to figure out the hybrids. Aside from that, at the price that Rock Bottom is putting on this set, you can\'t really lose. It seems like most other reviewers are not having the hybrid problem that I am.

Bought these a couple years ago and LOVE them. They are as good as any club you\'d buy for twice the price. My buddy who uses Callaway used them once and liked them as much if not more than his own clubs.

I\'ve had enough people I golf with tell me I need to upgrade my equipment, so I finally shopped around and settled on this set of Adams A2 clubs (right handed, graph/steel, reg flex). I definitely had a modest budget and RockBottomGolf.com has by far the best price I could find. I started playing about twenty years ago with a set of Wilson Aggressors my dad bought for me, then I recently moved to a fifteen-year-old set of Lynx Master Imperials. I don\'t play often and my swing needs plenty of work, so I didn\'t find the Wilson or the Lynx irons to be very forgiving. I have an aggressive slice/fade to the right I\'ve been fighting and these Adams A2 clubs are doing a lot to help me straighten out my shots. I just got the clubs three days ago and, so far, I\'ve hit a couple buckets at the range and played nine holes, and I\'m EXTREMELY happy with my purchase. The clubs are well-made, they look and feel great and I can already tell they\'re helping my game a lot. The 3 & 4 hybrids are very fun to hit (especially the 4) and their green graphite shafts are a nice touch. Jump on this deal before it\'s too late and you\'re kicking yourself. Great clubs at a great price, you won\'t find a better value other than at RBG!

Bought these over the Mizunos (had been playing with a friend\'s Mizunos) because of price ($200+ less) thinking if I didn\'t like them, I could give to my son. I play these just as well, if not better. The hybrid 3 & 4 are super easy to hit--almost seems like cheating over regular blades. I\'ve come back to golf after years of not playing because of frustrating slice problems, and with these clubs, I\'m shooting under 100 with regularity on a hard Arnold Palmer links course. Shot a 42 on the back nine the other day--my best round ever. Not sure if these are good for high skill players, but for average Joe looking to cut some strokes with easy to hit clubs, this is your set. Thanks Scratch!! What a deal.

I got these clubs about a month ago. i hit them amazingly and i shaved 5 stokes off my game. i also got the Tom Watson PVD wedges with them. You cant beat the price for these clubs. i play golf everyday and i am very happy with them

Great slick clubs. For the price it�s a great deal. Although they are a 2 yr old model, they don�t look old and they feel very solid. I only hit some practice shots on the range, but was very pleased with the results.
I was hitting the 4 hybrid consistently straight and over 200 yards. The 3 hybrid, not so straight, but left the range after a solid rip, straight as an arrow at 230 yards.
I am not a consistent player and so not very trustworthy on the forgiveness or comparison against other clubs. Usually hit around 100.
In any case, the clubs are a great buy. I hesitated between these and the OS seamless progression, but ended up with these since they were recommended in the 07 Golf Digest hotlist. I thought maybe having a 6 or 7 hybrid could be too much.

These clubs are \"bloody little rippers\". I cut 5 strokes of my game and my slice has vanished. Great value and great clubs. If I could I would marry them!

3 and 4 hybrid clubs remove the intimidation factor out of hitting long irons. They are a breeze to hit and be prepared for your shots to travel long and straight. Irons seem to be forgiving, although I can\'t hit them as far as my old Clevelands. It\'s probably my swing, not the clubs. Overall, great clubs at a great price! Thank you Rock Gottom Golf!
