Have used avon chamois grips fro twenty plus years. great feel and you can't beat the price. The Pro D2X grips are new for me, put them on my driver and fairway metal, very comparable to New Decade at a fraction of the cost.

Ok, these were on clearance so it is probably older stock, but these grips are not as grippy as I would have liked. They seem hard.

Fantastic grips. Look very stylish, like the two different rubber compounds for top & bottom hand. Texture is very nice, I feel in more control even over some corded grips I've tried.

Bargain That Surpasses Expectations

I've played the Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound grips pretty much since they had first come out. Love the feel but the price to replace them was always a bother.
Simply due to the great price offered here, I decided to give the Avon Pro D2X grips a shot. I'm very glad that I did. They are every bit the equal to the top brand, in my opinion. The only difference as far as I can tell is that the top of the grip, under the gloved hand, does not have cords as do the Golf Prides. But in play, I can't tell the difference at all. The coarse, tacky feel of the grip runs from top to bottom.
I need to play with soft hands as when I grip the club too firmly, an assortment of problems arrive. Therefore, a sure grip is an absolute necessity for my game. These grips flat-out perform.

Great alternative to the golf pride grips

A couple of summers ago I got the supplies needed to regrip and assemble clubs. At first I used golf pride grips, but they are expensive and don't seem to last that long. Then I found out about the Avon ones. These are all I buy now as they are 1/3 of the price. Definitely recommend to anyone regripping.
