Perfect ... Almost

Almost Perfect in my hands. These 588 MT's are by far the classiest game improvement set currently out. This is definitely the mature and wise choice for those who are taking their game to the next level. I will simply state that these irons pack a large sweet spot. The forged face hitting my Volvik Vivid ball creates a mid-high trajectory. Each iron gave me an average of 4 yards more distance over every competitor that sat in a demo box or hung up on a wall at the golf shops.
Pros:Forged Faces and hollow body design add distance, feel, and forgiveness we all need. For a game improvement set of irons the top line isn't too thick or distracting and the minimal offset is nice to see. But definitely the "Feel" and the 3 & 4 irons are the game changers for this set. To have such forgiving long irons in your bag is nice. I'm not a hybrid user so for me to pull out a 4 iron off the tee box and know I can safely hit the short grass 9 outta 10 times is a great feeling to have when the Driver and FW Metals are letting you down.
Cons:1) For me the steel shafts are lightweight and I usually prefer a heavier shaft. More weight gives me more control and accuracy. These only having 85 gram shafts took me a few range sessions to get use to. Like all marketing nowadays these irons were built to give you a faster swing speed resulting in longer shots. You will have to train yourself to start your backswing a tad slower so you don't lose control. But one can add weight if needed without removing shafts and then the problem is solved quickly. 2) jacked up lofts ... These as well as most new iron sets their lofts are nowhere where they should be. To have a PW at only 44 degrees can cause serious issues/concerns with yardage gaps between your wedges. Most will have to get their old wedges bent a couple degrees or have to purchase new wedges to fix this issue. I had a 44 degree PW and then a 52 degree GW. It left me a 8 degree gap which was around 24 yards in between clubs which isn't advisable. So some may also want to purchase the Cleveland 588 MT "D" Wedge and add it to this set. It has 49 degrees of loft which closes the gap. But the PW and D Wedge (Gap) due to their hollow design etc. are hard to use around the greens. The ball literally launches off the forged face. Will take practice to be efficient with this type of club.
