A serious looking iron designed to be amazingly forgiving and explosively long, the JPX-800™ is the first model to bring Mizuno’s Global JPX technology platform to the United States. The unbelievable distance of the JPX-800 irons is achieved by combining MAX COR Technology, Hot Metal™ Face construction, and an exotic pocket cavity to hit the maximum allowable limits for energy transfer. Hot Metal™ construction utilizes a new manufacturing process that increases the material’s natural strength to create an ultra-thin and multi-thickness face for maximum, consistent ball speed, while the innovative pocket cavity with external power bar design expands and extends the sweet area and lowers the center of gravity for unsurpassed forgiveness. An aggressive triple cut sole ensures solid ball striking from all types of lies, and a multi-material cavity badge provides tuned impact sound with enhanced feel and sharp looks. Simply put, the JPX-800 irons utilize the world’s most advanced Game Improvement technologies to help the serious mid- to high-handicap player score like never before!

These irons launch the ball in the air, but don't feel like super game improvement. They have a great feel, well worth the money

Feel Sound Distance

worth the money

I actually purchased these irons from my local golf shop when they first came out in 2011. (RockBottom didnt have them yet). I am a big fan of RBG so I figured I would post to help others. These irons are great!! I went to the golf shop to actually purchase the TM burner 2.0 irons but ended up walking out the door with these.FYI- I also hit ping g15 and Titliest ap2 (which I liked as well). Don't get me wrong, the TM's weren't bad but I just preferred the feel of this club better (due to the lightweight of the Burners). They are long and the short irons are so easy to hit making your approach shots eaiser to control. Long irons are a little less forgiving but are still fairly easy to hit and again long!! These irons launch extremely well out of any situation. These irons are game improvement irons but have a thin topline at address (as compared to the pings or even the TM's). Lastly, you can never go wrong with Mizuno irons! Not only for the club itself, but also the value they hold. I paid $684.00 in March 2011 for these irons and you see the price now. Not too many manufacturers can say that!
