Great swing trainer for the money.
By Jim from Las Vegas, NV on May 22, 2013

After a couple times of using this swing trainer in my yard, I packed up my clubs and headed to the range. Once there, I tried repeating the smooth swing the trainer requires. When I was successful, I was shocked at the distance I was getting from my long irons. I still need some more practice with this to keep from falling into the bad habit of rushing my swing.

Poor man's Medicus....
By Scott from Susquehanna, PA on April 22, 2013

Being the king of cheap, I like SKLZ stuff. It seems as though they really have the corner on the market for reasonably priced swing trainers, even if they are knock offs of the original, as this one is. The problem I have with this one is that what it really trains you to do is avoid is "breaking the club". The logic is that if you don't "break the club" then you're swinging on plane. This just isn't so. As a previous rater stated, it's great for tempo training..
Pros:
Good tempo trainerCons:
Isn't the panacea they make it out to beHelps with tempo

Good practice but it could perfect the wrong swing.
By Len from Florida on June 19, 2012

I believe the hinged iron can help you perfect a good swing and is good for practicing that swing. However, it can also allow you to develop a poor swing. I can swing the club quite well without breaking the hinge but I still can slice the ball on the driving range. It appears that if you control the clubhead, you can vary the swing plane without the hinge breaking. Thus you could end up developing an outside in or inside out swing.
Pros:
It will help perfect a good swingCons:
It can also allow you to perfect an improper swing.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Nothing finer than this refiner
By Jason from Melbourne, Australia on July 4, 2011

Well built training aid that allows you to practice swing and then apply it to hitting a ball. Definitely works in making you conscious of swing path.
Pros:
- Great swing trainer - esp back swing
- can actually strike ballsCons:
- not that sensitive with detecting club face + sliceI would recommend this item to a friend.
