The next generation Xrail fairway wood expands Exotics superiority with a design that takes playability, versatility and forgiveness to a new level by making fairway wood shots effortless.

The easy-going performance of the Xrail can be credited to its wider v-sole that guides the clubface into a square position at impact. Placing 15% more weight in the heel and toe areas than its predecessor, the Xrail produces a higher moment of inertia for enhanced stability on off-center hits. Plus, the v-sole design minimizes divots from heavy lies and lowers the Xrailís center of gravity so shots get up and away quickly and easily.

Just like other Exotics fairway woods, the Xrail features multi-metal construction combining a hyper-steel body with a thinner Carpenter steel face. To maximize rebound, the Xrail features variable face thickness and utilizes CAD frequency analysis to make the club more efficient. This computer-aided design technique generates the club headís inner architecture to enhance performance on the maximum surface area for greater forgiveness, longer shots, and better feel.

Features:
  • New, wider, diamond-shaped inner rail guides clubface to square position at impact
  • 15% more weight moved to larger outer rails for enhanced stability on off-center hits
  • Advanced CAD frequency analysis utilizes head's inner architecture so engineers can improve performance at impact on more surface area

Shots elevation improvement; with a different (yet interesting) feel. Forgiveness noticed on my off-center shots; with a bit more length.

Ball launches off the face...great in thicker lies with extended sole, easy to get under ball on tight lies as well.
    Cons:
Shaft seems too long for 3 wood

    Second Time Around
    April 26, 2015
I bought the 3 and 5 X-rails a few years ago from RBG . When I hit them with the proper swing they go straight and long. They are wearing a bit so I bought another set for the new golf season. Got a smokin' good deal from RBG so I indulged myself. They are senior flex so I can chop the old ones and give them to my wife who is just learning how to golf....I already got her the 3 hybrid and it is one of her most consistent clubs so these should add some more consistency to her game.
    Pros:
consistently long and straight when you hit it right. RBG price line
    Cons:
    Uhhhh ....None

    Nice fairway wood.
    March 27, 2015
Nice look at address. Really gets the ball up in the air fast.
    Pros:
Really gets the ball up in the air fast off the turf and tee.
    Cons:
Not as long as my previous RBZ Stage 2 3-wood. Sound is muted.

    A nice piece

I'm a big fan of this 3 wood. Face is on the shallow side so you need to be careful if teeing this one up not to go too high. Very nice to hit from the deck.

Exotic Mid-Winter XRail 3 Wood Review
    January 27, 2015
I just got in from shoveling snow and cleaning off my car, so this review is a first impression of the Tour Edge XRail Exotic 3 wood from the comfort of my not so exotic basement. US made Graphite Design shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip are first rate. The club sets up nice at address for me, just the right lie angle and square to the target. The face is fairly shallow, but it tapers toward the center of the sole plate which should help get the sweet spot of the clubface on the ball. When is April this year?
    Pros:
Good setup at address Quality grip and shaft Overall quality look and feel Nice head cover

No more fat 3 wood shots
    December 2, 2014
First time I hit this club I hit a tad bit behind the ball. Was surprised to see a solid connection with excellent distance. Not sure of all the technical reasons for the expanded sweet spot but it works great on a high percentage of my fairway wood shots. As a 15 handicap golfer I usually struggle the most with fairway wood shots. This club has been a real help.
    Pros:
Again got a fantastic price at RBG!

Very good club and price in unbeatable
    November 23, 2014
Clean look at address, ball launches easily and distance is comparable to my Titleist 910. The only drawback is in the sound/feel dept. It sounds a little hollow and the feel isn't quite as solid as my 910. Distance is about the same though and I find this club is easier for me to launch. You would have a hard time finding a better club for the price.
    Pros:
Black matte finish. Xrail makes it easy to hit. High quality club at a fraction of the cost of the bigger brands.
    Cons:
    Sound/feel
