During Di11 testing, a player at the end of the range hit bomb after bomb as players gathered, admiring the consistently powerful ball flight and the unmistakable sound of a crisp strike. As we explained the technical aspects of the club- the low CG, ultra-wide sole, largest sweet spot, torsional stability- this player turned and announced, "Boys, don't worry about all that. Just hit it, and you'll get it." We couldn't agree more.

Features:
  • Low CG and Ultra-Wide Sole:The modified exoskeleton pulls weight low to promote a higher ball flight, and back, away from the face of the club, for greater head stability and straighter ball flight. The resulting ultra-wide sole offers improved turf interaction, gliding over tight lies and ripping through the heaviest rough.
  • Largest Sweet Spot:Weight removed from the perimeter of the face and from inside the cavity (towards the heel) results in a large, unsupported face.
  • Most Forgiving: The wider sweet spot and perimeter weighting, combined with the torsional stability of its wide tip shaft makes Di11 the most forgiving iron in the category.

    So Far So Good
    August 29, 2013
I have used these a couple times at the range and like what I am seeing so far. The clubs look great; they don't look like shovels and are very pleasing to look down on. The sole isn't too wide and the topline looks nice and slim. They're easy to hit and the ballflight is high and straight. I am still getting used to the uniflex shaft so I can't really comment on distance at this time. They set up nice, look good, feel good, and seem to hit it well. I feel like Wilson should be a lot higher on people's lists of clubs to try. So far, these are a really solid set of irons, it just remains to be seen if the shaft is what I need. If not, I like the heads enough to reshaft them, which says a lot
    Pros:
    looks ball flight
    Cons:
jury is still out on the shaft

Set needs a gap wedge to make it complete

I am not getting the distance with these that I was getting with my wilson staff CI-7. These seem to hit straighter. I feel the loss of distance is the uniflex shaft. They seem shorter to me.
    Pros:
    Forgiving
    Cons:
uniflex shafts, No gap wedge with the set. You have to buy another gap wedge so are you really saving money?

    easy

So easy to hit. Club does all the work. Not much right to left. For a guy that draws the ball a ton these are great. Black back gives it a very thin looking iron. I like this more than the big bulky irons that everyone has gone to.
    Pros:
clean. Not cheap looking. Easy to swing.

If you want Straight and Forgiving, look no further

I was looking to make a change with my irons as I learned my lie was incorrect for my current set. After reading very positive reviews on golf forums I decided to take a chance with the Wilson di11's. Glad I made the switch. While I am not really seeing large distance gains (my old set had the same lofts) I am really liking the feel and forgiveness. I have hit a few thin iron shots and the ball still gets up in the air and actually checks up once it hits the green. On par 3's I am seeing a nice little baby draw. With my old irons this was never consistent. The clubs have a very professional appearance. Not gimmicky like other brands on the shelf today. My only gripe is the small gaps when you get to the 9 through GW irons. I prefer more of a 5* gap (for instance 40 - 45 -50. The Wilsons are 39.5 - 42.5 - 46.5. I recommend giving Wilson a try.....I think you might be surprised !!
    Pros:
Forgiving Long Distance + Appearance Feel
    Cons:
Tight loft gaps on the 9 - GW
