Andrew Nailed It.
By Las Vegas Jim from Las Vegas, Nevada on May 27, 2012

Andrew is correct; Callaway has not made a better driver since it introduce the FT9. The only comment I can add is the importance of getting the correct loft and club head alignment (draw vs. neutral). I just got my second FT9 because my 10 degree was costing me distance. Golfers with moderate (88 to 95 mph swing speeds) should not automatically choose a higher lofted club or a draw set up. By paring the 9 degree head with the right shaft (regular with a low kick point), I have been able to achieve a much better trajectory (particularly in the wind) and improve distance. I also find that the neutral face allows me to hit my soft fade with great consistency and draw the ball without it turning into a hook.
Pros:
Consistent performance.
Good feel.
Look at address.
Cons:
Nothing.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Amazing driver with flexability
By Andrew from Adelaide on May 22, 2012

I used this model for quite some time, tried FT-IZ, Diablo Octane and then Razr all in imix as I like to change shafts. Realistically this head is just as long and workable as the Razr, and longer then Diaablo and FT-IZ in my opinion. Now they are cheap and imix is on the way out its a good time to grab some stuff. It my not be the newest model but if you set yourself up with the right shaft you won't be upset with this head
Pros:
Long
Forgiving

Dissapointed
By Jack Rowe from Tannersville, PA on May 8, 2012

The club head is exactly what I wanted; however, I missed something somewhere because I thought I was ordering a complete club...you know one with a shaft! Very dissappointed that all I got was the club head. Now I have to find a shaft for it.

New "Old" Club Hard to Beat!!
By Ron from San Antonio, Texas on April 7, 2012

This is not the newest club from Callaway, but sometimes older is better!! I picked this little jewel up from Rock Bottom Golf for a song and and I'm the one singing all the way to the green. I selected the I-Mix variant because I have 4 I-Mix shafts I can use, depending on playing conditions and how my swing is responding on the driving range before I start my round. I'll never know why Callaway stopped manufacturing I-Mix equipment because I love the interchangeability. The price is right at Rock Bottom to try either the FT-9 or FT-IZ driver heads. You won't be sorry!!
Pros:
Love the set-up and look of the FT-9. Weight and balance is also well suited for my slow takeaway.Cons:
I'm hitting too far off the tee and now I'm spending more time trying to figure out what club to use to get to the green!I would recommend this item to a friend.
callaway ft 9 imx head
By Lou from NJ on March 29, 2012

I was looking to buy the ft9 used, at another site, then I went to rockbottom and saw the head only brand new. I had the imix shaft connector and installed a 45 gram integra shaft. I have picked up a few yards, and my fairways hit has improved.
Pros:
the ft9 has a slightly open face which helps reduce the big hooks to a nice drawCons:

WOW
By Allen from Austin, Tx on March 26, 2012

I finally got out this past weekend to hit my new FT-9. Absolutely LOVE it!!! Great feel, great distance, great look. My playing partner is getting one for himself after seeing, and hitting mine. Just a great investment for my game and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I did not give it 5-stars because I had a problem getting the fitting and shaft for the club (screw in), but once I did, fantastic.
Pros:

Great Golf Head
By brian larson from tacoma wa on March 15, 2012

I have tried both heads and they are great. The draw head hits them long and the fade has straightened out a lot. The neutral head hits them long and low.
Pros:
I like everything about the headsCons:
There is nothing to dislike about either one.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great driver head.
By Greg from WV on March 14, 2012

I purchased the Tour 9.5 head and so far I like it very well. I like the 1 degree open club face as I tend to fight going left. The head along with the ability to quickly change shafts provides you with the ability to alter your ball flight and match it to your swing, course and weather conditions without having to depend on a club fitter to do it for you. You should do a little research on the various shafts and pick the ones that best match your game.

Draw bias 9.5 degree imix FT9 Tour Head does what it is supposed to do!!
By Den from Calgary, Alberta, Canada on March 14, 2012

I have had a neutral 9 degree FT9 head on my ProLaunch Blue shaft and struggled with a bit of a fade that would sometimes get me into trouble. The Draw bias seemed to be just what the doctor ordered. Just when I expected many of the drives to begin to fade towards the rough, it didn't and I was safely on the fairway. The Tour head also seemed to add distance when struck near the center of the clubface with a good swing and a bit of a draw.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Works like a charm
By Joe from Phoenix, AZ on March 10, 2012

I originally wanted the 10 or 11 degree neutral but purchased the 13 degree draw. Wow! Works great. Launches the ball and easier to draw setting up a lot of good second shots.
Pros:
I have a senior shaft so this "Lite" driver head was the perfect match.I would recommend this item to a friend.
