Effortless power in a classic look!
    March 14, 2014
This is a beautiful club at address. Take your normal swing and when you expect the shot to start dropping out of the sky, it just keeps going! Nothing extremely "techy" on the outside - so it's a sleeper. Great club!
    Pros:
Performance and looks. nice headcover too!
    Cons:
None, really. Looks might not impress your techy friends - no external weights or face angles to tweak with - but so what?! They'll like it when you hit it!

I demoed different drivers at the pro shop every time I practiced. I was hitting the Cleveland straighter and longer. Saw it ion sale at Rockbottom for price and bought it. It has not disappointed.

    Cleveland Classic 290
    August 9, 2012
Well, this is an absolute beauty, and I'm talking more than just looks here. The CC is a very classy pick. As with Cleveland's other products, the driver is quite solid despite its almost ethereal feel. I would recommend shaft fitting, as players with higher swing speeds (110+) have a chance of busting the stock shaft in half. I demo'd this with a project x 7.0 and the results were phenomenal. One of my favorite drivers of 2012 without question.
    Pros:
    trajectory control stability looks

    A Bit of Nostalgia
    July 3, 2012
I have been using a Cleveland Hi-Bore for several years. I recently t ried a Taylor Made Superfast and had difficulty controlling it after several attempts. The first time I played with the Cleveland Classic I had the same experience I have been having with my Hi-Bore. The distance and control is roughtly the same. The look is very pleasing and reminds you of the old days.
    Pros:
    The look and feel
    Cons:
The alignment marks on the grip are not very visisble

    Nice driver
    June 20, 2012
You will probably look at this initially for the novelty value, it is a nice looking driver and takes you back to yesteryear... But after the novelty it is a great feeling driver that launches high, so probably best suited to medium swing speeds. The paint does seem like it will come off the face, so it will lose the nostalgic look, but by then if you are hitting it long and straight you won't care
