Ray Cook, a passionate golfer, inventor, and engineer, created his first putter, the M1, in 1963. The M1 putter brought with it a PGA Tour victory. The wins kept coming, and Mr. Cook's putters continued to grow in prominence and recognition. The unprecedented precision Mr. Cook introduced to Tour Players continues to this very day in the Ray Cook brand.

Ever since the first Ray Cook putter was introduced in 1963, the Ray Cook name has been synonymous with high-performing putter designs. The M1 begins with the classic head styling made famous since the introduction of the M1-X back in 1991. There was no way we could improve on the design perfection achieved by that now classic shape. But beyond that great raw forging, this new M1 is a tremendous achievement in mallet putter performance.

Well, I guess You Get What You Pay For!!!
August 23, 2012
I got this M1-A putter a couple of months ago as a give-away bundled with some other stuff. I used it, practiced with it, etc, and it really does put nicely for this kind of putter. In fact, it was my gamer and I was improving my putts significantly.................. ...................until yesterday, when the head fell off. Yes, the head fell off! it was apparently not glued or fastened at all except for a brass shim inside the shaft to allow shaft/head mating - I had grabbed my putter and a wedge from off the green, dropped the putter to the ground to chip, and the head.....came.....off. I guess you get what you pay for. Three stars because it putts decently, only three stars because there may be some quality issues with these putters. Guess I won't be buying any more RC putters.
It does putt well (then the head in attached) Pretty well balanced good feel.
Doesn't put well with no head With head gone, swingweight and alignment appear to be negatively affected
