Practice makes perfect. The SKLZ Launch Pad All Purpose hitting mat provides three realistic hitting surfaces - the tee, the fairway, and the rough. The mat allows you to practice any lie you might experience on the course: drives, fairway approach shots, and shots from the rough (yes, we all end up there sometimes). Use the mat anywhere you can take a swing.

Not sure how durable this will be. Used it a handful of times and a corner is peeling. Should be a quick super glue fix, but have concerns about long term durability.

I have used this mat only indoors for short swings so far. It is heavy enough to stay in place after many swings.

It has heavy rubber bottom, but like with any mat make sure you stand on a rug or another mat or just choke down otherwise you will hit fat shots.
Good for practice.
July 22, 2016
I got this item along with some new clubs to practice because I am getting back into golf. I loved using this SKLZ launch pad. Didn't scuff up my clubs practicing shots. I like to keep my clubs nice and shiny. Definately recommend this to those that want to go out and practice hitting some golf balls.
ProsGreat for practice
July 22, 2016
Well, for the first 2 days, the was a good product/mat. The third day, the turf started to separate from the rubber foundation. I have used it for 2 weeks, and it's ready to be trashed.

The pad is very well made. I purchased this item to practice my chip and pitch shots in the back yard. The pad prevents making divots in the yard. This is well worth the money.
Good Product For Warmup and Practice
June 16, 2016
I used it for a quick warmup in my backyard before going out for a round.
Kansas City, MO
World's smallest tee box
June 8, 2016
Good for a quick tune-up before a round or a little practice when you can't get to the driving range.
ProsHas short and rough length "grass" areas as well as short and tall rubber tees.
ConsA little smaller than I would like, a little light in weight, for use only on a hard surface.
Great so far

Nice weight - stays in place. Really like the simulated rough.

March 28, 2016
nice hitting mat to use in the backyard. the dual hitting surfaces are a nice feature.
Prosdual hitting surface
Consmaybe could be a bit heavier / larger
February 25, 2016
Nervous after reading some of the reviews. They must have just gotten a bad mat or had a bad experience. My experience has been great. Love hitting off of it. Very versatile as well. Great size. Its not huge and bulky, but perfect for hitting in the backyard.
February 24, 2016
This mat is great. I have a hitting net and it is perfect for allowing me to hit off multiple different surfaces.

My Chipping mat
October 9, 2015
Nice mat for chipping practice, feels like hitting off of real grass. Use the tea for driving into my Giant Mouth Jr. Heavy enough to stay firm on the ground
ProsThick enough grass to feel real, heavy enough to stay put.
ConsTee is a little low for my normal driver

SKLZ Golf Launch Pad
July 29, 2015
Perfect, I take it to the range since it is better than natural grass to practice off of.

Perfect for backyard practice with my new net.
March 23, 2015
Bought a net for the garage, so I picked up the mat, too small.
January 6, 2015
good for outdoor practice
Solid hitting mat for the price
June 20, 2014
Mat is good design for the price, there are better ones out there but this mat works well
ProsDuel surface one for drive and one for irons with taller synthetic grass
ConsThe thicker grass is not real durable so it does thin out a bit after a fair amount of use.

Nice Matt but the grass glue is weak
May 13, 2014
The grass was already lifting from the corner when i received it. After one strike/ swing of the driver the grass lifted completely and had to be sent back.
Prosnicest matt available online.
ConsNot sturdy, crappy glue.

Great training item
November 12, 2013
Gives you the ability to hit from different lies. Bought it to use during the winter when I could not get out to the range. Gives you the cloest feeling to hitting from the rough and fairway.
Good for the backyard
July 31, 2013
This is great so the yard does not get torn up during training

September 5, 2012
If you don't want to chew up your lawn, this mat is the ticket. I don't like chasing balls so I play "flick the tee" to groove my swing. The sound gives me instant feedback on head speed. It's surprisingly entertaining & pays off big-time on the course. Just start slow and work up to full-speed swings. If you start getting sloppy, back off on the throttle to get back in the groove.
ProsDurable. Heavy. 2 sizes of tees. Price (local "discount" store was $49)
ConsCould be a bit wider.
By Justin M
August 4, 2012
It isn't huge but it gets the job done. On grass, it didn't have a good way of staying put when hitting irons. I have not tried it on a harder surface.
ProsCompact, efficient, 2 different tee sizes
ConsMoves on grass when got with irons
