ALL THE SLDR DISTANCE, FIXED LOFT, LOWER PRICE

We created the SLDR S driver for golfers who want the distance-enhancing benefits of a low-forward CG and the accuracy-enhancing advantages of our SLDR sliding weight, but don’t want to adjust the loft. SLDR S is offered in a variety of fixed loft options so you can find the one that helps generate the most distance-conducive launch conditions. And because SLDR S has no loft adjustability, you don’t have to pay for it. All that distance for a lower price? Yes, please.

The distance of an SLDR driver is rooted in its low-forward CG location, which you’ll find in SLDR S, just like you’ll also find the revolutionary sliding weight in the sole that finds your desired shot shape.

Moving the CG forward is a monumental shift in metalwood thinking. For years it’s been accepted that low and back was the ideal CG location for a driver. However, long distance comes from combining fast ball speed, high launch-angle and low spin-rate. Turns out that moving the CG forward promotes more ball speed and less spin. From there, to launch the ball on a high enough angle to maximize distance, most golfers benefit from increasing their loft, some by as much two or three degrees, or even more.

The SLDR weight also represents a complete reinvention of movable weight, making it more effective and easier to use. Movable weight shifts the clubhead’s CG horizontally toward either the heel, to promote a draw, or toward the toe, to promote a fade. SLDR’s sliding weight allows you to shift the CG far enough to promote a side-to-side trajectory change of up to 30 yards.

The SLDR weight slides on the track and never comes loose from the clubhead. To slide the weight to any of the 21 positions on the track, simply loosen the screw, slide the weight, then tighten the screw. It takes as little as ten seconds. And the sole is marked with the words “fade” at the toe-end of the track and “draw” at the heel-end of the track to make it clear where you should position the weight to promote the shot-shape you want. Aesthetically, SLDR S features the same beautiful, modern-classic shape as the rest of our SLDR drivers, along with our new satin-silver crown color with black button-back, making it one of the most visually appealing drivers we’ve made.

Features:
  • Stunning modern classic shape with silver-satin crown
  • Low-forward CG promotes fast ball speed, high launch and low spin for phenomenal distance
  • Easy and intuitive SLDR sliding weight promotes up to 30 yards of shot-shape adjustment
  • Black button-back works with silver-satin for easy clubface alignment

My first drive was straight and 25 yards longer than my average. I have used this driver for a month and my usual slices are now fades or straight. Even hits off the heel are more forgiving and reasonably long.
ProsGood distance, extremely forgiving and no adjustments.

Lighter than my R11 and needless to say it just so much better taking swings and I love how the ball comes off of the club face and it added at least15 yards to my drives.

Great Driver, got the regular flex, 10.5* and on 2nd round figured out easy swing is the key. Swinging too hard was hitting low duck hook, easy swing, slight draw about 240 to 250 yards long. Awesome driver for great price.

I bought the stiff 14 club and I love it. Easy to get the ball in the air without it being too high. I use to hit a 10.5 TM driver, which I couldnt get into the air.

    Best Driver
    October 22, 2016
This is the best driver I have ever had. I was questionable at first everyone says you need a driver with a weight that you can move. I have been using a nike vapor driver for the last few years and wanted something new without breaking the bank. This driver is great I have no complaints just a lot of praise. I have gotten more distance and this driver has helped to fix my terrible slice. I will continue to buy from Rock bottom golf instead of the over priced department stores. I got this driver 3 days before it was scheduled to be delivered and the customer service is great.
Prosmore distance on drives fixed slice. it is very light, has to be the best driver I have ever used.

I had some rewards to use plus got a great promotion from RBG. I tried the 1st generation SLDR with adjustments when it first came out but didn't like it. Purchased this driver on a whim, and it turned out to be a really great driver, much better than expected. I really like my Jetspeed, but this SLDR C is just a bit better for forgiveness. Very easy to hit. 57 gram shaft in stiff fits me perfect. I rarely play my drivers @ 10.5 but in this club, it just works.

The features and benefits advertised for this model are totally misleading and false.
    October 20, 2016
After hitting this club on the range and the course it doesn't measure up to its claims. It feels like hitting a women's club and the distance was extremely short. This club could never have retailed for $299. I question Taylormade would market such a poor quality product and promote such levels of performance. I will return the club anticipating a full refund.
    ProsLight weight,
    ConsVery poor performance.
