Powerchute is the ultimate in golf performance training technology. Powerchute's patented design generates shaft and clubhead resistance to significantly increase clubhead speed and driving distance while delivering many performance benefits to the golf swing for all skill levels.
To the recreational golfer, the Powerchute will provide much more than just increased clubhead speed. Swinging the Powerchute on a regular basis has been proven to improve technique, particularly with the transition (the sequence of movements from the backswing to the forward swing), arguably the most critical move of the swing. Due to the chute resisting the club from releasing early in the downswing, proper body motion is triggered to swing the chute through to the finish. Consequently, the optimum sequence of movements is introduced and lag is developed.
Even though a low-handicap golfer or professional golfer may already have a technically sound golf swing and efficient sequencing, training with the Powerchute will increase clubhead speed and progress technique.
A common theme reported among Tour players and low-handicap golfers who have trained with the Powerchute is the feeling of increased clubhead speed through the hitting zone, increased torso rotation through the ball and into the follow-through, and improved balance awareness. Bought this for the second time since my cousin took mine. The claim is very true and this aid is in my opinion the most effective swing trainer there is.

I had a good swing path, but my sequencing was off. I had a tendency of pulling with my shoulder first instead of my hips/core. I still have a ways to go, but I have improved my sequencing, balance, and gained some distance.
Pros:
it is giving me a way to feel the corrections that my swing coach wants me to make.
Cons:
In the short term I have developed a slice. I think mainly because my hands are so far behind where my core is now. Got to wait for the weather to clear up so I can get out to the course to see where things stand.

It did increase my swing speed at the bottom of my swing. It also helped with sequencing my swing. It was almost immediate results. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great training aid. Recommended to me by a PGA Clubpro and he was right.
Pros:

Finally - a training gimmick that works

Though always a bit skeptical about "surefire" training aids, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this one actually works. The instructions that came with it are extensive and easily put into practice; the device itself seems sturdy and well made. The one time that I've used it to any degree on the range prior to playing a round seemed to pay immediate dividends: I shot several strokes below my normal (admittedly large) handicap.
Pros:

Very lightweight and easy to stow in your golfbag, so is therefore there when you want it.
Cons:
Unusable in anything more than a breeze; a wind causes it to collapse in the backswing, even if you are "swinging into the wind" as the instructions say.
